Thanks trrk
checked up with the TASC near my office. to get my wheelcap back, I'll have to go to the TASC which lost it (despite both of them being under the same management).

they said they wont have any issues with me bringing in the oil myself, just that it will reflect as oil change not done in their logs. Bought 6L of delvac MX. cost 1300 bucks!

That also would automatically void your warranty if TATA wants to do, especially if you have extended warranty!

are you sure ? it does meet tata's recommended spec(API CF4 or better) , mentioned in my users manual.

Don't know about the oil specificatios, but if the system says oil change not done, it could / would void the warranty.

I know the issue about the engine oil not being in the records, but

will that be a good defense?

You are leading me on to uncharted territory for me. But the oil change charges should help you establish that an oil change was done.

I have had hardly any chances to claim warranty on any of my vehicles, TATA or otherwise. Of course, I missed out on two claims as I did not go through the extended warranty booklet properly. But theoretically my warranty is void, as I have extended the oil change to 10000kms from the given 7500kms.

wanted to get my ORVM's painted white , and the wheels matte black. gave it to a paintshop which is otherwise highly recommended. they painted the wheels glossy black ( even though they initially agreed to paint it matte ) , and now claim they did it because it will be easier to clean. If they had felt so , they could have told me before they did it , and they painted the WHOLE ORVM instead of just the top half, despite me specifically telling them not to.

And on top of it I had to run around for this for two days. Gah this sucks. I only hope nothing happens at the TASS tomorrow to make it worse!

to say that I am shocked and amazed is an understatement. The team at the kulathunkal TASS on the bypass is actually competent and fixed everything, and the customer relations guy is superb gave me a vista wheelcap, and offered to swap the rest of the 3 next week as well. While it remains to be seen if he delivers. I'm quite happy , for now, and it makes me forget the screwups that happened at color wheels.

Of course I'm still apprehensive that something still might go wrong, and that remains to be seen. Here's keeping fingers crossed , and will upload the bill as soon as i reach home

had to stay back a bit late to finish some work which was pending due to the whole car servicing runaround, and when i got out, the roads were absolutely empty. Had fun ripping the car (at a relatively sedate 80 kmph). the annoying rattle while accelerating has gone , and the lights are aimed perfectly. Just the right AC temperature. The car I've always loved

PS: uploading the bill. engine oil was 1.3k extra
