Pavan it's going to take a very longtime for you to reach that mark from 21,000kms.

The way you have maintained and use the vehicle i guess there is no need to change your vehicle at all for next few years ahead.

Engine Oil Capacity for 3.0L is 6.5 Ltrs.

Congrats on your 3 years of ownership, Pavan

Mine is also nearing 3 years on 1st Oct.

Why the Oil change service charges 1500 instead of 750 Rs ?

Nice update Pavan & Congrats on the 3 year mark. But I'm wondering why the Engine decarbonisation was necessary - 21.5k kms is far too early to be doing this I'd think?

Air Filter is costlier than 2.2 by Rs 105/-
Engine Oil = 6.50 ltrs (as its a 3L engine)
Liquid Polish = Tyres/Dashboard/interior plastic panels and etc.
Rust leak = Its a liquid that i found wherein it nullifies rusting within the brake master cylinder and wheel cylinders, very effective. 10 ml costs around Rs53/-
Labour = 1500/- , i think its correct, since all the oils were changed

OK JK

Sirjee, i usually dont use the vehicle much, the oil change interval is almost every 5000 kms and that takes me a year, so somehow felt, since my oil change interval is too long a period, let me get the de-carbonizing done.
The engine remains fresh with this and i prefer doing it every 25000 kms.

Pavan,

A small question. Does the total for labour include Line Item 16-Oil Change Service or has it been billed separately. Can't seem to understand what they charged Rs. 1500 for.

Buddy,

I got to understand, that since all the oils (Engine/Gearbox & Transmission) were changed, the price is Rs.1500/- else if its only Engine oil the labour is Rs. 750/-

One more sad thing that i had not noticed

My front 2 rubber foot mats have disappeared. I call the service guy, he says he has 1 found, the other missing.

I hang up mentioning, i'll be coming in a couple of days to pick Both the Mats however.

All good things marred due to this one incident. :(

Sir, i'd say you are lucky. While at MASS last week for the 20k kms service for my Alto, i got 3 small scratches on the car.

Btw, don't the service guys take an inventory of the number of mats in the vehicle before the service?

Good to know all is well with your car. Enjoy your drives!

Regards,
gpa

Finally crossed 24000 kms mark on the odo, the Beast is now 3.5 yrs old

Did undergo a small modification off late.

1) junked the 100/90 headlight and went in for 100/130 philips rally

2) 3rd row seat work already on process, will install it by the coming weekend

Had a small mishap during one mild off-roading drive (2WD) but got home and Did It Myself

Was the left side headlamp removed for some reason when clicking the pic showing the new cladding? There seems to be an unusual gap between the light and the fender.

No, thats because of shadow, it looks like showing a big gap.

Right side headlamp was removed to make way for the new wiring harness, to fit the headlight cut-out.

Pavan as always you have kept that colour shiny as ever. Surely many are waiting to see how that smart modification to front facing seats come out.

That cladding is called "eyebrow cladding" and costs around 1500. I lost mine and having that procured and fixed. Good that you had that cladding, so just fixing remains to be done.
