For accurate information always go to Official website of the car manufacturer or see their marketing material.

Maruti Swift would give you all the right information.

official site doesnt say about power steering for diesel. Maruti Swift - Variants Diesel

So had to search for it. I have the doubt on these manufactures, they doesnt provide every thing which is offered on petrol versions for cutting cost.
ZXI is in petrol which is not available in diesel.

your seeing the wrong link my friend. All swifts have power steering so instead of features it is under specifications.

Maruti Swift - Specifications Diesel

cheers.

Braking Issues

Hey Guys,

Have you tried braking hard on wet roads? even on a straight road at abt 40KMPH My car fishtails. I have Bridgestone Potenzas 185/60 r-14. Dont think the tyres are the issue. Any guess about the problem? a solution would be great. Thanks

first the tyre size is wrong, it should be 185 70 14, this "SOMETIMES CAN" cause issues with braking, refer tyre bible for details.

otherwise take it to the dealer and ask them to check breaks (break bias especially) and then do a wheel alignment check (just in case)

The rear has a tendency of overtaking the front due to drums at the rear = poor braking power = fishtailing.

busa if you have felt this it might be due to added juice from ABS on your car, in regular Vdi no fish tailing while braking, i have done very serious panic braking and car took a perfect line, in wet i havent tried much.

and in this particular case he is referring to (speed of 40 kph) it shouldnt fish tail abs/no abs

AFAIK all car's below 9L have drums at the rear. I dint find any probs in the swift D TD vehicle also and that was running the 165 OE tyres.

The bias can affect it that's all.
