Ever tried Turtle Wax? Available atleast from BPCL Shell Moolchand In & Out store - superb quality, and keeps my bike looking quite decent despite my lack of washing (only every service ).

FWIW, I've found extremely variable quality of Formula 1, it is quite heavily counterfeited as well. Turtle wax is as good (you can check intl forums), and is found genuine only!

Thanks hitanshu for suggestion. I am new to waxing of a car. Formula 1 is infact the first car care product I have bought till now. Picked up this at clearance sale at Driven, Delhi for 100 bucks. Checked out in Karol Bagh, it was retailing for 150. Its doing its work well i.e. it keeps the car shining, o hopes its original. Next time will give turtle wax a try. Heard in other threads that its highly recommended. BTW how much does it cost ?

185/70 on stock VDi rims?

Hi experts,

Is it possible/recommended to upsize the Vdi tyres to 185/70 without changing the stock rims to alloys?

Thanks,
Amit.

Yes its possible, even 195/65 is possible on stock rims

Turtle Wax costs around 200 but try to get the Turtle Wax Platinum though slightly expensive but worth it.

I have got 185/70 R14 on stock rims in my Ldi and I am not facing any issues. Only concern is rim size of 14x5J. I think 14x5.5J is better, Is it guys?

195/65 on stock rims. I didn't knew that. I thought only 185 can be accomodated on stock 5 j and you need to upgrade to at least 5.5 j for going towards 195.

Next buy will be turtle wax. But wax last pretty long. Used mine two times, not even 35 % spent. Guess will buy new only next year or so.

Hi! I just booked the Swift VDi with ABs - On road - 6 Lakhs. I have got a 90% loan on OTR price from dealer itself with the following freebies promised:
a. Body Cover
b. Steering cover
c. Side Strip moulding
d. Bumper moulding
e. PVC Floor Matting
f. Mudflaps
g. Spot Light
h. Aluminium Pedal Pads
All MGA worth Rs. 5,500 as per his price list.
Seeing all the posts here about "Zero" discounts and freebies, I am just praying that the dealer has not taken me for a ride and will actually put in all the above for free when I get the delivery in 2 months time!

What will be the overall difference in Diameter between 185/70 R14 and 160/80 R14 , Just wanna know whether it will reduce the road clearance.

- 15.71 mm diff in circumference = -0.81% diff which is minimal, read this for more info Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible

It is obvious. He is giving you all this free because of the money he is making on your loan interest/EMI.

Thanks Jeggu,
That is
80% of 165mm = 134.4 mm &
70% of 185mm = 129.5 mm
so -4.9 mm will be the reduction in road clearance, is it true ?

80% of 165 is 132, 70% of 185 is 129.5.
So the diff is 2.5 which is the reduction in ground clearance.
