I did a quick two day tour to Chikmagalur and returned.

I filled up at a particular pump on Wednesday morning and filled up there again last night. No refuelling in between.

Following the tankful method, I got an average fuel economy of 13.2 kmpl (595 kms and 45.03 litres). The on board computer shows 13.6. Pretty accurate I would say.

Hi Nikhil , I just wanted to know if your RS230 is running any performance modifications or have you managed to squeeze out 16.6 kmpl on a stock car?
My RS230 has clocked 38k kms in 4 years and i have not been able to see double digits in the FE department. Only on the highways have i ever seen a maximum of 12.4kmpl . (I'm running a RON98 st2+ ecu and tcu tune)

It has been more than a year since I updated this thread.

Let's just say that the car has been absolutely rock solid. Since I got the E63 AMG, I havent driven the vRS outside BLR(except the BLR Airport).

All my long distance trips have been performed in the AMG.

The Skoda has become my reliable, economical(compared to a 6.2 litre NA V8) city runabout.

The Skoda also feels easier to drive in the city.

However, like any enthusiast, there was an itch to do something to the vRS. I was not keen on performance upgrades as I really dont need more power from the Skoda. If I wanted a faster, more exciting car, all I had to do was the drive the AMG.

So, I decided to revamp the exterior of the 6 year old vRS.

Many of you would remember my trials and tribulations with repainting my car. First at TAFE and then later at Car Surgeons (where the paint matching was perfect, but the paint thickness was not good enough).

To scratch my itch, I've opened my own bodyshop. My bodyshop isnt really open to all customers. It's not a commercial place like the rest of my business.

It's a place where I am playing around with my own cars. I got my Civic repainted in Lexus Nori Green, I got my friend's Swift restored for sentimental reasons, my childhood friend's Fiat Linea was restored and repainted in Ferrari Rubino Micalizzato.

And now, my vRS has been repainted in........

I have got the car repainted in an amazing new colour!

We yet to reveal the colour to the public, but stay tuned to this thread!

Now that's an epic flex. Jokes aside, we need places like your shop more in all honesty. And I make that comment from personal experience.

Glad to see an update from you Nikhil ! I truly have been following Madhu's Bodyshop since day 1 and I have been blown away by the end results. Can't wait to see more pics of the VRS. The paint work is top notch and the reflection screams the same.

Also that Swift seems to have caught my eye since you know how much of a sucker I am for the first gen Swift Hoping to see more pictures of all the cars worked on by Madhu's Bodyshop possibily in a separate thread

Firstly, I was admiring the mirror finish done on the Octavia.. But the colour one truely unique shade never seen before on an Octavia, that too your car is amazing with the badges matching the alloy rims. Tastefully done.

Looks black in normal light but in the sunlight a Metalic Purple.. something like a Porsche Panamera Amethyst Metallic shade. The red brakes look cool also. Great work done at your body shop Madhu's.

Wow! Awaiting the reveal Nikhil! The paint quality & finish looks absolutely impeccable.

My vRS hasn't been rock solid though. Something or the other keeps going wrong. It needs to be on the road more than the workshop. Hopefully that happens when the car returns now.

However, it did go out of Mumbai in between, around a couple of towns in Rajasthan & back - roughly about a 3000 km trip. Performed flawlessly, and was a treat to drive as can be expected.

As promised, here are the pics of my vRS in all it's glory.

The shade is Porsche Amethyst Metallic and the wheels and logos are painted in Porsche Satin Aurum.































I am really really happy with the outcome. It feels like all the hoops I've jumped through are worth it.

I really consider myself very lucky that I've had this opportunity to indulge in my dreams.

We are going through the legal process now and once a few photoshoots and videoshoots are completed, I plan to PPF the car as it will continue to be my daily.

I am extremely happy with the PPF on my AMG and I've realised how easy it is to live with the car in Bangalore adn on the highway with PPF. It does add in an extra layer between the eyes and the paint but it's worth it.
