I enquired about it at Kerala Ford Dealers. They said they did not receive such an accessory.

I then called Mody Ford Accessories, but they said they don't have such an item. Did you get it at their Service Center by any chance?

Yes that's right, got it at the service centre.The cover belongs to the new fiesta diesel.
Fits perfectly as it is the same engine

Hey EcosportRules, I am really impressed with the mods you have done.. I own a Titanium Diesel too. I found that people are using your pics to advertise the headlight mods which you have done. Finally after a long wait, I got what i need. instead of shelling money on entire projector headlight with Dual purpose Day time Running light with Turn indicator light (Approx 35-45k as we saw in previous post, Sourced out Only DRL tube with Daytime running light and Turn indicator function drl from ebay.

The problem is we will need to send the headlights to him. And this activity will make the car not drivable for at least a week till I get them back. Hence I am looking for alternatives in Pune / Mumbai.

Kumar, I am bit surprised that I missed reading your review. I must confess its no less than an official report and painstaking effort of clicking some nice pictures on the ORR is pretty evident and truly compliments the overall comprehensive report

I was not really a fan of Ecosport but, having the pleasure of driving with you during one of the Hyderabad TBHP meet. I have become one as your car was literally flying. Not sure if its the car or the driver which made it possible

Hey guys,

I have completed 12000 KM on my Ecosport (60 to 70 percent highway the rest in city), had a regular second service at 10000KM(oil change,cleaning of drums, discs , liners and pads,wheel alignment, tyre rotation etc)


I have driven the car in all kinds of terrian(good roads, worst roads, no roads, ghats and through water) and should say" I am impressed".
Ford has done a fantastic job with the Ecosport but messed up badly with the delivery schedules.

MILEAGE.
-Tank full to tank full 15 to 17 kmpl.
-Mixed 16 kmpl.
-Exclusive city is 14 to 15 kmpl
-Exclusive highway at 2000RPM @90 kmph is 21 to 22 kmpl.

Max speed at given RPMs.
-90 kmph @ 2000RPM
-110 kmph @ 2500RPM.
-140 kmph @ 3000 RPM.

What I LIKE till date:
-Fantastic over all package.
-Ground clearance is actually usable.
-Stability on Highways.(esp with Yokos)
-Safety features.
-Niggle free performance except the small dash board rattle from day 1.
-SUV like handling with ease of driving a car.
-Parking is super easy.
-Well weighted speed sensitive steering wheel.
-MID reminds for service every 10000 kms.
-Keyless entry.
-Accurate MID.
-Perfect lumbar support.
-Location of refrigerator's power supply.
-Perfect control at all speeds.
-ABS system is spot on.
-Good power band on highways and city(cannot say terrific but a very decent overall pick up)
-Ease of driving especially due to a fantastic gear box.


What I still DIDN'T get used to or miss having.
-Sync takes only 1000 contacts.(I need 5000)
-Thick A pillar(eats away pedestrians and bikers)
-Absence of electrically foldable mirrors.
-Mud flaps dont prevent splashes effectively.
-Co passenger arm rest.
-Difficult to access fuse box
-The bonnet doesnt open all the way up.
-Unpredictable suspension bottoming out (solved with donuts)
-Sometimes I miss the 6th gear.
-Sunroof.
-Hydraulic bonnet stay open.
-Cruise control.
-Pathetic headlamp out put(atleast a separate high and low beam like the Civic or Duster would have been better)

My updated conveniences/accessories list(will attach some pictures)

ACCESSORIES FROM FORD.
1) Ambient light for both for the front and back foot wells.
2) Spoiler+LED scuff plate+reverse camera with daynight IRVM(individual pack)
3) Front parking sensors.
4) Cross bars 3 pcs(with matt silver paint)
5) Ecosport spare wheel cover(easy to maintain though I dont like it personally)
6) Philips T10 white LED interior cabin lights + boot light(Ford China)(Fantastic illumination)
7) Philips T10 white LED number plate lights(Ford China)
8) Rear wiper Euro type(easy to clean and maintain)
9) Engine cover from fiesta(top of engine)(prevents dust gathering on engine-looks cool especially with the Ford logo I installed on it)
10) Engine guard(under engine)
11) Number plate frame(screwless from Ford thailand)
12) Appliques/skid plates both front back.(car looks incomplete without them)
13) Trunk tray(plastic-shaped like the 3d mats to prevent spills)
14) Refrigerator/warmer cum arm rest.(waeco Tb-15)(very useful)
15) Sporty pedal covers.
16) Car cover.
17) Essential pack(carpet mats, mudflaps, folder etc)
18)"+" decal to go with titanium(mine is titanium"+"/optional but the company has not mentioned it)
19) "Duratorq" decal as I like it better than tdci.

1) Headlamps(DRLs, projectors-clear lens type with HID/bi XENON 5000k all weather-looks great and brightness increased by 300% with 6 lane coverage-worth every penny for frequent highway travelers like me.)

3) Hella wiper blades (full rubber blades-looks and wipes better)
4) Small antenna.(Better reception, also looks good)
5) Door Striker screw conseal plates(looks neat)
6) Ecosport spare wheel cover decal.(completes the look of the cover)
7) Brembo caliper caps(looks great on silver car)
8) Tyres(yokohama db series-worth every penny)
9) Tweeters(hertz-a definite 25% improvement in overall quality)
10) Alloy wheel painted to euro colour ie dark silver(easier to maintain and also looks better on silver Ecosport)

13) Cargo net(for tail gate)(Takes in all the miscellaneous stuff)

Can I ask for F.E. figures on full tank to full tank method, as that is more trustworthy than MID ?
