I am planning to add only the DRL (no projectors) and keep the STOCK headlamps but that would mean the yellow parking light and white DRL might not look good togeather

Please help educate illiterate folks like me out here
1.white light is connected to parking light supply, socket to socket(u have to switch on whenever u need it)
2.yellow light is connected to indicator /hazard, socket to socket
3.if you want white light as DRL then it has to be connected to ignition which is not socket to socket, hence will void warranty. (Always on whenever the engine is on)
4.Suppose the vehicles parking lights are on and then you switch on the right indicator, the left light remains white ,the right one blinks in yellow colour.same applies for the other side

Will post some pictures for your reference
Hope this helps

I just had one question, I feel like my clutch sends out a pulse when it is fully depressed. I can distinctively feel it. Not sure if it's the engine vibrating or something else. This is my first time with diesel engines so not sure if it's common. Do you or any other ecosport owners here experience it too?
Thank you throttle head
Very slight vibration which is not distinctly perceivable is ok, but beyond that you should ask your service manager to check it.

Also observe once more whether you are fully depressing the clutch for the gear change .

Is this vibration during idle or on the move?

What about the stock parking lights? Did you get them removed?

The white light is fixed to the original parking socket and more over when this is the new parking the stock one will look pretty bad.

The parking bulb hole is almost covered by the projector and is not visible unless you keenly observe it.

Hi EcoSport Rules,
Can you please let me know the Rearview Camera with IVRM is of which brand? Also, did they fit additional IVRM on top of the stock one or remove the entire assembly and fit the new one?
I'm getting quotes ranging from Rs 14000 (Torq brand) to Rs 19000 from different dealers but I'm not sure whether they are importing the Brazil version like you.

It is from ford company, all dealers will have the same model and all of them are made in brazil.
The entire assembly will be changed, if some body is offering a clip on model then it is not genuine.
I found the individual pack is value for money

I had seen the torq branded irvm for 7k, i think with with 6 months warranty. Its not a reputed brand at all. These are chinese products stamped with names. Give you a better peace of mind than their counterparts without warranty for a premium. There were others, with screen sizes ranging from 4 to 7 inches. All clip on types mostly with no warranty prices ranging from 4-6k.
Also all the accessories at showrooms are Chinese/after market products except for a few things. The irvms they are selling at Gurgaon here are branded 3T plus. And guess what, it is owned by the sachdev group - owners of harpreet ford. They are priced 15k.
If you do want to spend something close to this, I would recommend you to invest in a 5 inch gps from mapmyindia/Garmin which supports rear cam as well. Two problems solved with one screen.

Thanks for the info. One more query, there are no front parking sensors available with dealers in Mumbai. They are saying there's no such accessory from Ford. Did you get the rear parking sensors fitted on the front side as well? If so, are these working fine? Do you get the feedback on the MID for front sensors as well?

So did you purchase a new set of headlights from Ford and sent it across to Gopal to carry out the Mod or did you remove the ones from your car and kept the car in garage till the modified headlight were received back at your end?
Just wondering how much is the cost of the new set of headlights from Ford if the first approach is followed?

You are right , they are the rear genuine sensors fitted to the front. You get only audio feed back as it cannot be integrated to the mid.mid can only take feedback from one set

He gave us both options.as we had spare car we opted to send him current set of headlamps.headlamp set from ford is around 9300 but gopal has a good option of buyback so we donot loose anything in the bargain

Re: My Silver Ford EcoSport Titanium (O) TDCi. First delivered in India!

Am sorry if this has already been posted somewhere but where is Mr. Gopal based out of? Hyderabad? Also, how long does he take to fix the headlights?

Maybe for someone like me based out of Pune, it makes sense to just drive down the car for a day.

I also thot the same but he's based out of vizag. Plus he takes some time as well to do the job. Driving down to vizag from pune doesn't sound that good.

Niks - What part of town are you in? I'm going to check with Carax and Poona Motors to see if they have anything on it yet. Do you know any place in bombay where we can get these installed? I don't want to really remove the headlamps, courier them, get them back and install again. Too much trouble and don't trust couriers. Prefer standing next to the car when mods (at least electrical) are done.

Had sweeped Bombay a couple of times for this.
Came back disappointed!
It takes 5 days for the job to perfect!
So driving to Vizag wouldn't be a good idea!

Unless you are booking your first service in a Ford showroom in Vizag which is bang opposite to Srinivas shop
Then you can be sure you are in the official hands!
