I'm ranting so much about it because it was working fine for 2.5 years. It has stopped working only from last week :). I had also observed that the Sony player used to hang sometimes if you navigate through the folders by continuously holding the folder navigation keys on the HU. I guess some sort of incompatibility.

I think that it has got to do with the format of the MP3 player. AFAIK i20 HU supports only FAT32 format and not the regular NTSC format. Maybe all Sony MP3 players come with NTSC formats memories.
Let me check the format of the MP3 player. I remember it was FAT32.

If this is a common problem with all CRDi i20's then why do a recall and the whole thing?! Is this the Compressor Clutch switch that they have changed?
Anurag.

Its not the compressor clutch switch. It is the clutch position sensor, something like throttle position sensor. Typical symptoms are car switching off in higher gear and above 50 speeds when you press the clutch to downshift . Even i have replaced it once under warranty.

Hi all,

Any idea what will be the cost of crdi and sports badges and driver side AC vent?I am leaving the car for clutch problem tomorrow to ignite ,you can check chennai directory for info on them, asked them to check gear linkages , bleed the clutch and last reSort as clutch overhaul

I remember my SA mentioning that a AC vent costs somewhere around Rs 2000. I'm not sure if its for a single piece or a set. I had them replaced under warranty twice.

I would suggest not to fix the badges. It looks clean and uncluttered without those badges. If you still need them, you need to place an order with the service center in advance as they don't stock these badges (atleast in Bangalore). They stock only the "HYUNDAI" and "i20" badges. I have no idea of the costs.

They use it for cleaning AC. It removes the bad odor/fungus/bacteria in the AC vents. They spray it inside the vents and keep it for some time and then run the blower for some time.

That's a wonderful product. I believe it can help me too deal with bad odor.
So is it really effective? Did you feel / smell a change in air quality?
How long does it's effect last - Couple of days or months?
Is it readily available in open market?
Do you recommend it?

I had complained of bad odor when I gave the car for 50K servicing. It was some sort of wet smell. The odor immediately went after AC cleaning. From then onwards, its done every 10K km. I complete 10K km every 3-4 months and has never faced any foul smell issues. Therefore the product should definitely hold good atleast for 4 months. It was costing 760 until now and hence was getting done from Hyundai. But this time, the cost has suddenly increased to 1360.

Its available in the open market since I have seen many of them using a product from a manufacturer called Gulf. I'm thinking to do it myself from next time onwards since paying 1360 for it is not worth.

Did you try visiting 3M? They have something of this kind for the AC cleaning. Not sure of the prices.

I'll ask about it during next visit. I remember seeing something related to AC cleaning in 3M but didn't bother checking the price as I was only interested in the paint sealant program. I searched for the Gulf AC neutralizer in some of supermarkets but couldn't find it anywhere. It used to cost 250 bucks in 2009 according to one of the threads in the forum.

Hi,
Try this :
http://www.snapdeal.com/product/abro...hygiene/237039

have used something similar that's no longer listed on the website and found it to be very efficient.

I connected the MP3 player this morning and it worked without any issues. I guess it has to do something with the charge present in the MP3 player. When I tried last week, only one bar of charge was available in the player. I had charged it last night. Logically speaking, the charge in the player shouldn't matter as it has to just act as a USB mass storage device when connected to HU and it should also get charged simultaneously. Let me again try when the charge gets over and check if the issue re-appears.

Hi does anyone know the part number for inner rear view mirror and cost of it.my car is silent except for this irritating vibration form it.

it doesnt have any adjustments to tighten it too.

Congratulations! :)

You can go free from HASS and the service costs. If you can get parts over the counter (Mobis or since such thing) then buy it and get it done at an FNG and save some money.

BUT are you happy or Sad?

Anurag.
