Looking forward to seeing that. Yes, default setting is quite good. I want to also checkout with the A.S.S if we could get the revised ECU mapping of the 2012 linea as an "upgrade" on our model. As I understood they have improved the driveability now.

I mistakenly did the earlier setting. cos i tied my RaceChip in opp direction so i got confused.
Now changed as yours B - 3 and 1 - E. Need to TD more to get the right set up.
Check the details from Racechip Manual.

Yes, that's right. I actually wanted it a bit lower in the rev band to aid the driveability. So as per the manual, there are atleast no cautions against moving the setting back.

Moving the setting back if engine lugs, is what manual said for tweaking the default value.

Can you upload a few pics on how to install the race chip on a Linea. I got it delivered yesterday( Delivery to chennai took 3 days - tht was so fast ) and I am not able to get the installation done.

I am a very very novice guy.

Am so sorry for giving you the trouble.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Yes, I live in KK nagar. I tried to Pm you too. But yeah, just now I saw a video of how a pete's box is installed on a linea. My issue was to find out where the plug is. I think I have got it now. Will update back once I install it. Thanks a lot for the reply.

Hi Amneo,

I agre with you, I also had ordered my race chip and it reached me in flat 3 days, I went to service center, and got it installed. I had SS in charge in confidence and he himself installed it for me and tested it later. You need to remove the radiator pipe and then remove the ECU wire to connect this. You will also face an issue in placing the racechip. I had placed it behind the battery. If you find any other decent place then please share with me also.

Will there be any duty be Charged for the RaceChip?? I have ordered it, Till the Door steps it cost around 12K, i heard that there will be additional 3K will be charged towards Duty charges by the Shipper... Is it true??? anyone who got it or knows about it can Comment.. ???

Yes , there will be a duty on the shipping. I was charged 2225 rs. I am also from chennai, so it should be same.

Need some answers to the questions, as i am also keen to get a Race Chip fitted in my Linea MJD EMO pk.
a. By remapping with this chip, we are bypassing the stock given by FIAT. In that case. Yes, there is a significant gain noticed in all vehicles. What happens when it is used for a long? Will it impact the engine in long run?
b. Why Fiat has not gone in such a similar chip or their version in 2012 Linea to increase the power and fuel efficiency, when all were beating that Linea is under powered?
