Hi,

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be a member of Team-BHP - I have spent many hours reading the Team-BHP forums about every aspect of the automobile.

I am a software Engineer by profession from IIT Kanpur. And I have always been fascinated by cars. My first car was Fiat UNO diesel (1998), second was Fiat Petra (2005) and the last was Pajero SFX(2009).

I am still driving the Petra, because my Pajero ( Deep Purple MH-01-AH-5098) was stolen within the first year itself.

The story that I wish to share with all members is the story of my car theft and the subsequent events that is guaranteed to fascinate and frustrate. I hope I can bring in some new and useful information from my own experience for our members.

Every year more than 4000 vehicles are stolen from Mumbai alone, only 200 are ever recovered and the thieves are rarely caught. I hope that everyone of us will agree that it is a very sorry state of affairs and it needs to end.

I want to start a new thread for this fascinating story.

Please advice me if I am making any errors here. I want to be a useful member so please be with me.

I am following your thread on lost Pajero, do update it regularly and please tell us the status of Pajero. Is it recovered or still your are searching for it??
