Greetings!

Hello people,
Thought I'd start off with a quick brief introduction before participating fully on these wonderful forums.

So I've been a huge fan of cars for as long as I can remember. Growing up I used to plead with my dad to let me shift gears for him while he was driving (yeah back then it was possible with fairly light traffic). Started driving at about 15 and it seemed to come to me pretty naturally, didn't overdo it of course, and never looked back since!

Had the privilege of driving a lot of cars, ranging from the Maruti 800s and Zens, to VDubs and Mercs. Only ever "owned" 3 cars tho.

First, a 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer (SFX). Still have this around and works perfectly as my DD.
Second was a 2000 VW Jetta 2.slow MT. Bought second hand and sold it after putting about 60k miles on it.
Third and my absolute favourite was a 2006 E90 330i MT. Bought brand new and drove it all over the beautiful roads in California. Sold it after putting on 50k miles on it, out of which 45k were within 2.5 years. Had to sell it when I moved back to India in 2007. And that's when I went back to my trusty (but not rusty) old Lancer. Definitely looking to retire it as my DD this year.

Aside from cars I'm a crazy Apple fan (hence the name). Been using Macs since 1995 or so. Also big into philosophy. But since that can very easily lead to controversial topics such as science, religion and politics I'll probably be giving it a rest when I'm browsing here.

Finally, I'm a gemologist by profession.

Anywho, hope to contribute in as many ways as I can. Cheers!
