Hello!

Hey folks,

This is Subu - I currently reside in Chennai, was in Hyderabad for 7 years before this. I don't know much about vehicles (the net I know can be attributed to TBHP, but I do love to ride a good vehicle. I was maniacally attached to my bolero invader (That went through 5 odd makeovers) but had to give it away due to higher powers (wife).

Currently my rides are a Figo / Ikon and a RE Classic 500. I am seriously looking at buying a Safari 4x4 or a Thar 4x4 (Thar for obvious reasons and Safari because of ... wife).

You think you solve complex problems in your multi-billion dollar software company, and then take a look at the 4x4 forums here, and the amount of discussions give a new meaning for complexity! I think the most complex thing is going through the hundreds of pages of people repeatedly beating the same dead horse and in the process finding the rare gems! But they are sure as hell worth the effort!

Hope to see a lot more such posts and cya around the 4x4 / bullet forums! And yeah - ping me if you have a question or two on computers

Subu!

Re: Hello!

Welcome home SubuS.

Ford figo, Ford Ikon and i say you should take the Ford Endy 4*4

You are at the right place and once you start you search by posting your needs, the forum will help you with real life experience instead of one time review and that will help you choose what you want next.

But the universal rule is stick with what your wife wants.

Just read your replies on Thar thread. Can guess you not just a M&M RE man but a big time fan.

I myself own a RE but still hate the QC of RE. But i own the old standard. Except for the engine and the wonderful 1 tap neutral lever, the QC of the bike is very disappointing. Will i sell my RE - Probably NEVER. Too close to my heart. Still not a fan of RE. Feel they are a bit over priced for whats being offered. And with HD in picture I only see increase in price of bullets.

Re: Hello!

Welcome Subu, that is a good combination garage that you have. Hope you make up your mind about the next one soon, and share the ownership experience.

Enjoy your stay and do go through Announcements section to familiarize with TBHP etiquettes.

cheers
Jaggu

Re: Hello!

Thanks for the welcome Jaggu. Don't think I am posting this just to get over my newbie hump .

It took 4 tries for you mods to smile over my application - So I think I have those rules by hearted by now I will write a review as soon as I buy one!

I really want to write something about my cl500 / figo, but so much has been written already :(
