Bangalore native now in Chicago

Hi
I moved to Chicago from bangalore last year...just found this forum and thought it will be a good way to keep in touch with whats happening back in the homeland.
I currently ride a Yamaha YZF 600R.....which is my seccond bike since I moved here.....I had a Kawasaki ZRX1100 for about 4 months before I had an accident and the bike was totalled by the insurance company. I also own a Yamaha RXG which is lying in my garage back home.

Hope to make a bunch of friends on this forum.

Holla to a Yamaha fan! Welcome to the Team-BHP!

Out of curiousity, why did you downsize from a 1+ liter bike to a 600?

Welcome to a fellow biker!

GTO, the ZRX and the YZF are a different class of bikes. The YZF is a sport-tourer (was originally a supersports bike when it was launched, but the 600 class has drastically moved on) while the ZRX is a standard. Both good bikes though, though the ZRX has a lot more character, especially if he had the Lawson replica paintwork.

Welcome to the forum. Biking in Chicago? Now that it is winter (almost), what car do you drive?

My guess, his insurance must have shot up after the accident.

Thanks for the warm welcome....save for a sore right leg for a couple of weeks I was unscratched thanks to my gear....unfortunately my bike din't fair as well.
To answer GTO's question...the ZRX was not that much more powerfull than my YZF....besides I was leaning towards something a little sporty and comfortable at the same time to cater to my touring requirement....the YZF fit this criteria perfectly.....on a bonus I got a great deal on it from a fellow member at ChicagolandSportbikes and it is blue in color(the fastest color)
