New Kid in Town

Hi All.

I'm Sanjeev Sabharwal, an architect from IIT-KGP, now into personal finance.

I've joined this forum because I'm into studying design. It's congenital. I was always making things as a kid. I've even spent a couple of months as a kid at the maintenance workshop where we lived.

So naturally I ended up an architect. Then I discovered I had to make money, too!

I learned to drive and got my license before I could cycle, almost literally! So driving is in my blood, too.

Besides long drives in the north-east in the old Amby days, I went through the usual graduation - Luna (I'm that old, plus 6 months waiting period!) - Suzuki AX100 - powder-blue M800 - white M800, and now a Palio 1.9D ELX 2004.

Living in Chandigarh, "going uphill" was the mantra, at the drop of a hat! To the extent that I became quite recognizable in the Himalayas.

Now, I'm mired in Bangalore (bearable weather!) where going out of the city is, well, an uphill task!

Interests: Food, I think, tops the list, along with cooking it (I'm single).

Since they have a small pond for a pool where I live, my swimming days are virtually over (unless I visit a friend's place), and it shows around the middle (middle age, as in TCP 200 m age!).

Anyway, there's always tennis and Formula 1!

Also, photography, wine, '70s rock, Jazz (sublime!).

In short, I'm a laid-back, lazy hippie who loves cars, travel, music, philosophy ... you get the picture.

Cheers to BHP, and feel free to comment.

Peace to All,

Sanjeev

From one Sanjeev to another, there are way too many of us now, don't you think? Anyway, I second the food bit - love to cook and live to eat - as well as the photography and JAZZ bits. But I have a pool where I can burn it all off. Ponds aren't bad. Neither are rivers and there were a lot of those to swim in when I was down south. Give it a go...the water's usually pleasant enough. Well, that's it from me for now. Looking forward to reading more from you. Ciao.

Hi Tejas,

I enjoyed that second paragraph! You can be sure that I will not mention it further, except in the form of "juice", "beer", "water", etc.

I really pity the guys who are too sensitive, and/or lack a sense of humor!

Cheers!!! (hint! hint!)

Sanjeev,

I don't find anything funny in your statement; and your sarcasm is very poor. These are the rules and one should follow them if you want to be a part of the forum. Only with strict rules has this forum maintained its good content over the years and has grown by leaps and bounds.

And we pity people who can't follow clearly set rules. First we warn them, if they persist, we infract them, and if they still don't get it, we end up banning them. (hint! hint!)

Read them: https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/annou...e-posting.html

And welcome to Team-BHP.

I wasn't even trying to be sarcastic.
Regards, and I will follow rules.
Thanks,

Welcome Sanjeev. This forum has loads to offer anyone. You will find various threads as Tejas has pointed out, which will be of interest to you.

What distinguishes a good forum from another is the set of rules and how they are implemented.

Being a trekker, you will appreciate the value of a set conduct without which one can get lost, just as a forum, which is not moderated properly and without rules gets lost. .

While here, enjoy your stay, increase the value of the forum by your posts and let us all learn from each other. Im sure you will have fun. Happy Revving!!

Hi Arkin,
Yes, it is indeed, and it's a quaintly antiquated museum piece worthy of UNESCO heritage status!
But hey, it still produces great guys, who somehow manage to learn their stuff!
