Welcome Panicslayer, nice to have you on-board.
Do share about the automobile scenario from across the border. It will be a new learning experience for all of us here in India.

Good to have you here panicslayer. Could you provide us with the link to the auto forum that you moderate? I am sure many of us here would like to know more about the automotive scenario in Pakistan specifically-
1. Which are the most popular cars in Pakistan?
2. Which are the most modded cars there and what all mods are popular and easily available?
3. Which cars feature high on the wish list of auto enthusiasts?
4. Do you guys prefer diesels or petrols?
5. Any race tracks over there?
6. How is the modding/tuning scenario in Pakistan? Are there local professional tuners or do you guys import most of the parts?

Thanks a lot guys for such such a warm welcome. That's what i was expecting from you guy. Well you will see me soon very active in the forum and i would keep updating you about the car scenes here. Regarding the queries asked by @Astlevis. About the link of the site that i moderate, i don't know would it be allowed to mention external URL here or not. Well it is the largest Automotive forum of Pakistan...
1. Honda (Civic, City), Toyota (Corolla) and Suzuki are the most popular cars we have, i think same as india
2. When it comes to the mods, like the whole world, people prefer honda for that
3. Demand and resale for Toyota n suzuki has no comparison at all. But if you say about "car enthusiasts"... Honda all the way
4. About 4-5 years back, it was diesel trend but now due to economic recession and price gone insane high, diesel is even 1 Re. expensive than petrol now, so petrol and CNG
5. Yup certain track as there in Karachi, Lahore and recently a beautiful track built in the capital, Islamabad
6. Moding is usually done from karachi n lahore. But imports are also there about engine mods. Ricers have whole country open to fulfill there needs

good to have you over with us pal.

do share some interesting stuff about the 4WD and Jeep/SUV scene in Pakistan.

what are the popular SUV's and 4WD's there?
Hows their service network?
Do you have a lot of SUV/4WD enthusiasts?
How expensive are these vehicles to buy and own and maintain there compared with here?
Diesel vs Petrol - which is more popular and why?
Whats the relative pricing in Pakistan Rupees?
And what do common people like us generally drive - say a mid-senior Management Executive in a Multi-national company in a place like Islamabad or Peshawar or Karachi?
(and frankly, forgive my ignorance but do give me a quick dipstick on relative value of Pak Rupee vs INR)

It is sad we guys dont know enough probably about the country itself, the common people's point of view and the normal day to day things there.

Do enlighten us

Cheers
