OK I'll do it. As most of my friends know, I have no great feelings for bollywood, unlike Normally_crazy who loves and lives Bollywood.

While I am not too fond of it, I have a healthy respect for the genre.

Bollywood, especially Shahrukh Khan is massively famous in Germany, with entire sections of music stores and libraries dedicated to bollywood.

TheOne® however had not seen any Bollywood. No exposure and no idea.

Armed with the knowledge that she loves old style movies and musicals and loves melody and dancing and all beautiful things, I came to her home with a German Subtitled version of "Kabhi Khushi, Kabhi Ghum"

The rest I think is history. I may have created a Bollywood monster. 3.5 hours of emotions and she enjoyed it thoroughly. Also is madly in love with the title track, amongst other Hindi songs.

I'm now thinking that my exposure to Bollywood is going to increase greatly lol. My only guide is normally_crazy.

Helping him pick your movies is a good idea, having him pick your music at a Team Bhp meet is not? Chee chee, double standards.

Well, honestly I think The Yeti's heart was easy to take over even in the past.. he's always been an emotional Big FOOT.
I'm glad that someone has finally chained him up..
I mean how long could you have him wandering alone in the wilderness. He needed guidance counseling lol! just kidding.
Happy for you Sam, finally found someone that you could give your heart to...Congrats!
On her visit to India she will be kept "Sar aankho par"!

Meetings with spice.

spice is the plural of spouse.

Or, at least, it ought to be

Ok, Sam, this is what I know. My knowledge of Hindi Lyrics is not as vast as my knowledge of English lyrics so if there are lyrics that work better please excuse me.

"Chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko
Nazar nahin churaana sanam
Badalke meri tum zindagaani
Kahin badal na jaana sanam"

- Majrooh Sultanpuri

Your description of this chaos sounds like fun!
we will meet. fer sure.

I was telling Sam that to drive in Mumbai you'll have to develop a Cacophonic Guidance System (the honking tells you where the other cars are) or resort to Tactile Driving (driving till you hit something).

Is it the right context? I dont know the exact meaning of many of the words used. actually beyond the first line I have no idea what the words mean and I have no idea where I heard that song.

As in 'More than One Spouse' or is it 'One More than the Spouse'?

And, if

(Spouse) > 1 = Spice (is that where you chaps got the Spice Girls from?)

and

(Mouse) > 1 = Mice

(Louse) > 1 = Lice

then is Spouse = Louse or Spouse = Mouse ?

I have to stop this before my spouse turns me into a mouse.

Hi TheOne

Welcome to Team-BHP. This must be the longest Intro thread ever. Goes to show the popularity of Sam and yourself.

Assuming that you weren't kidding here goes the meaning. I have not translated every word but given the gist of the those lines.

Chura liya hai tumne jo dil ko
Nazar nahin churaana sanam

Now that you stole my heart, don't turn your back on me, my sweetheart.

Badalke meri tum zindagaani
Kahin badal na jaana sanam"

After changing my life completely, don't turn your back on me, my sweetheart.
