Welcome from a Brit living in Chennai.

You say your German town is boring, but as I've been reading Sam's travelogue, I have been experiencing some envy that England is not just a little bit more like Germany. Had the same experience visiting Netherlands years ago too.

Why? Because you have planning, and buildings that fit in with your past: we have a mess.

Yes, we have picturesque towns in England too, but only the super-rich can afford to live in the best ones!

My experience of visiting Germany has been limited to a a few short business trips (never more than two days, sometimes just for the day) to Dusseldorf, but I always enjoyed them.

The town she refers to is where she works. The picturesque town is her hometown.

Welcome onboard TheOne® (BTW, is it one word - TheOne® or two words with a space inbetween - The One®)

It is not everyday that you find a person with similar taste/passion in your life . So make the most of it.

As far as experiencing India is concerned, i think you've already started doing that through Team-BHP.

You forgot another important thing about India besides Traffic & Food - Indian Music & Movies.

I think Sam wooed you with Bollywood songs

Welcome to the forum & nice to see you here, let's hope that your upcoming trip is even better than the reception that you've got on this thread!

Have fun here & I'm pretty sure The Yeti will take care of the food issue, he knows most of the best eating joints all over India!

Hello the One
Its nice to have somebody from the land of the Nurburgring and the Autobahn here. And don't worry about Indian roads with a little practice here and there you would be fine, but always remember to expect the unexpected on our roads and hence adjust your driving accordingly.

Still if you have any problems, I suggest you gift Sam a Porsche(even an old one will do) and see him switch places.

He is as unhappy about it as I trust me - lol. Working for harman/kardon doesn't mean anything - much to my regret! You want, you pay. Though I must admit, it is a bit less than what you pay normally.

I believe every single word of that! From what I have experienced so far this can only be true. The Indian people have astonished me a couple of times already. Not that Germans are not nice people, but we keep our distances if we don't know each other.
