Finally - a BHPian

Hi All,

I am Srinivas from Hyderabad. I am thankful to moderators for accepting my membership. I am glad that i became member of this forum after following it for more than a decade .

It all started over a cup of 'T' in office cafeteria more than a decade ago. A group of colleagues were discussing about the cars in general and how the automobile magazines will help people to know different type of cars available in market and upcoming cars.

While i was referring to one of the magazine, one of the colleague suddenly asked if i follow 'Team-BHP'? It was the first time i heard about 'Team-BHP'. I replied in negative and he suggested me to follow it for authentic and unbiased content though he isn't a member of the forum.

Honestly - i am not a big fan of online content those days and hasn't shown any interest in visiting website in the following days/weeks. I don't exactly remember when i visited the site for first time, but since then there is no looking back.

I never bought or read any other automobile magazine (except to see some cute pics somewhere at a dealership or saloon) since then. In my personal view 'Team-BHP' is one of the best forum in general and i really value and cherish the time i spend on the forum.

Got a chance to meet some members of this forum on 22nd Jan-2017 when they planned and met for lunch in 'Mamagoto' near Google Office in Kondapur - Hyderabad. I just walked in and spent some time and still remember the conversation with one of the member who used to have 'Nano' those days (unfortunately lost his number later when my mobile was stolen).

Got an opportunity to meet another member of the forum also in Feb-2023 and is still in touch with him.

Thanks again to members of the forum in general for their valuable contribution in this forum which helps so many non-members too and thanks to administrators in specific for creating and maintaining such a forum at high standards.

Welcome to the forum Epona. Glad you made it here after being a passive reader for several years.

I see you own an XUV 700. Would love to hear more about it in the form of a review.

Wishing you a pleasant stay here.

Thanks Vishy.

Yes. I had XUV700 for almost two and half years and parted ways very recently. I will soon start a thread about the criteria for buying it, ownership experience and reason for parting ways with such a beautiful beast. I am now planning to buy either a C1 segment (XUV3XO / Brezza / Nexon) or C2 segment SUV (Elevate / Grand Vitara) in petrol version.

Booked MG Windsor and Tata Nexon 45 Kwh also in 2nd week of October (as there seems to be no road tax in Andhra Pradesh till 7th Dec-24 as per recent G.O). I may take either of these two vehicles if i am convinced if EVs make sense to my requirements and if they are delivered by end of this month (to avail the free road tax).

I am planning to start a new thread articulating my requirements, options considered and evaluation criteria. Hope fellow BHPians will provide their valuable inputs in making right choice this time around.
