Hehe, thanks for the complement. Ryosuke is my favourite character from the Inital D universe. But only after Bunta Fujiwara, for the sole reason that he drives a 22B and I am a Subaru fanatic (if my username wasn't a big giveaway ).
That's the BHPian way to do things, I guess!

You're right my friend! And to add to that, there's the freedom to start discussions on every topic imaginable, and the luxury of having intellectual opinions to grace them! It feels like I'm being overly patronizing, but can you really blame me?

You're welcome! It's always exciting to spot references like these when you're out in the world (or browsing on forums where they're unlikely to be found)- Hey! It's the same feeling as when you spot Team-BHP stickers on the road!

Is that so? Ryosuke is my second favourite as well! But my favourite is Keisuke by a long shot- just look at his car! If only I could get my hands on that FD3S-even if it was for a second. As you could imagine, I'm more of a Mazda guy myself. Shame JDMs have a nearly non-existent following in India. As for Subaru, they've made some mean machines! I fell in love with the the Impreza WRX STi back in the good ol' days of playing NFS:MW. The Impreza 22B is the rawest STi ever built! You have a great choice my friend.

Nice intro there, you should encourage your dad to try again for membership on Team BHP (making sure he responds genuinely to the registration questions without one liners), I’m sure membership here will make him happier! It’ll be nice to have an active father-son duo on the forum

Wishing you the best on the professional front, hope you become Dr.Dhruv one day, unfortunately your forum handle can’t be updated to “Dr.Dosa” though
Thank you so much, NPV! For the warm welcome and for the compliment!

We had the conversation to discuss his application, and he's certainly not opposed to it! This part of the year keeps him a little busier than usual, so he's putting it off for a little while. But it's certainly going to happen-and soon! If anything, he's incredibly verbose, so one-liners are not a possibility . Gaining membership will mean the world to him! We'll discuss every answer extensively before he finalises his application, and hope for the best! The rest is up to fate(and our respected moderators, haha).

I agree! The banter would be super-fun and something I'm looking forward to.

Thank you! I hope so too! I'm working to manifest this hope into my reality. Let's see what happens!

Haha, Dr. Dosa has a really nice ring to it. But alas!

Team BHP has become the new twitter for me, minus the very annoying algorithm . Every thread is a new avenue for data gathering and churning out out knowledge, as we call it on Data Mining.

Indeed. Many of my auto enthusiast friends have been inquisitive on how I got in to Team BHP. I carry the Team BHP keychains on my scooter's key and backpack. More often , it has been a conversation starter.

Keisuke surely has the better car of the Takahashi brothers, but somehow I'm always miffed by his attitude. I like how Ryosuke is more calculated in approach, whereas Keisuke is more impulsive. I've never liked Takumi though. Funnily enough, this is the same case with My Hero Academia characters. I love Shoto and Kachhan/Bakugo than Izuku

To be honest, I never liked Keisuke. This is because of two reasons: his attitude and heartlessly dumping Kyoko.

Re: A Letter of Gratitude

Welcome to the forum Dhruv,
Nice to see another Kanpuriya on the most beloved all things motoring T'BHP.

By any chance is your dad Dr.Mayank Dixit?

You are most welcome home for some fabulous Dosa and chutney, we had the same for dinner, my wife cooks very well. I do the grinding mixing and eating part.

Thank you so much sir! It is indeed quite exciting, especially when that fellow kanpuriya is my father's enthusiast buddy on the internet.

Yes, yes he is! In fact, he is the one who told me about your post here on this thread! It is a small world after all! He asked me to forward this message to you-

Quote:
Hello, Vinod ji! Long time, no see! I really missed your presence back on the old forum. I've stopped visiting it at this point- it just doesn't feel the same as it used to! How about we meet up over a breakfast ride someday? Our blue and orange colored candies could do with some exercise. I'd love to hear about your experiences Living The Nexon life, and catch up on everything that's happened in between.
I rendered it from hindi to english to the best of my abilities, and I hope the original meaning wasn't lost in translation.

The context for everyone reading this:-

After his aforementioned experience of trying to gain membership of Team-BHP, my father eventually found another platform, The Automotive India, in his search for a space to express himself and his thoughts on the Indian Automotive Scene. He composed detailed ownership reviews about all our vehicles, and even about his tool collection! It was endearing to read everything he posted. It was here that he met Vinod sir, as well as many other brilliant individuals- quite a few of which are here on Team-BHP as well! Sadly however, as has been discussed here, The Automotive India also suffered the same fate as many other forums. It is still running, but with minimal activity. The ownership thread for our nexon was titled "Living the Nexon Life", and hence the phrasing in the above message.

[Mods, please remove or edit parts of the text(if any) that may be breaking the forum rules. Thank you!!]

Thank you so, so much for the warm invitation! You don't have to ask me twice, haha! I'll be there sooner than you might think.

Hungry as ever,
Dosa

I suggest you post your father's thread, of course with Mods approval for his collection of tools, I'm sure, most ASS will envy his collection.

Oh, that's a great suggestion! I'll be sure to ask the mods for the appropriate guidance. He has since beefed up his tool collection quite a bit, and is quite proud of it! At this point, It's become a local attraction of sorts amongst our family and friends . Thank you for your kind compliments!

Regards,
Dosa
