Hello to all petrol-heads

Wohoo, I am finally a member of Team BHP and I am ecstatic.

So, let me start by introducing myself.

I am Kiran, 35 years old and I live in Bangalore.

To talk about myself, I work in Analytics domain and I have 11 years of experience.

I have been a petrol head since my childhood and I fondly remember waiting for the Thursday edition of TOI as that was the day the Auto extras were published. I was one of those kids that read all reviews in detail and cut the pictures of cars and bikes which were diligently pasted on to a book. I used to drool over the pictures in my book regularly.

Being in a middle class family, I did not get to experience cars a lot but for a brief time my dad had Priemier Padmini (which was leased to him by his company). I was the front seat passenger all the time and I had loads of questions for my dad. Why do you honk before turning (on blind curves)? Why do you shift gears? Why do you not go into the pot holes (I used to love it when we hit potholes)?

I still have the same passion for learning about cars and driving. I still feel like I have so much to learn and I get better everyday I drive.

The list of vehicles I currently own:
  • 2 Honda Activa
  • Ather 450X
  • Maruti Suzuki Celerio
  • Mahinda Scorpio-N

We also had the below vehicles in our family:
  • Royal Enfield Classic 350
  • TVS Star City
  • Ford Fiesta Classic
  • Volkswagen Vento
  • Hyundai i10
  • Fiat Premier Padmini

Hope to learn a lot from the forum and contribute where ever possible.

re: Hello to all petrol-heads

Welcome to the forum.

Of course, as kids we would be excited to go over potholes or any surface irregulations leading to dynamic movements of the vehicles.

Pretty complete garage you have over there. Petrol and electric scooter mix. A city runabout and an all rounder propah SUV.
