Introduction - My journey from a Santro to an Audi

Hi everyone, very exited to finally posting my first post on team-bhp

A bit about me, I am in mid 30s, have been driving cars for more than 15 years. I used to live in Delhi and drive Indica, then Honda city (i loved that car).

In end of 2021, due to pollution and taking advantage of the WFH scenario, we said goodbye to Delhi for good and moved to Goa (as an experiment). Was a long cherished dream to try out life in Goa. As you would know, there is 0 public transport in Goa. We had a 1 year old kid so 2 wheeler was out of question. So we searched a bit and as luck would have it, got a sweet deal on 2005 model Santro. Now it might not sound that great, the car served me well.

We stayed in Goa for a year..so many drives to the beach, except that the car's steering rack was gone (kept adding steering oil to keep it light), car did not give any major problem except once when due to body rust clutch became loose (had to plug the gap with coconut leaf and drive to destination without changing gear phew another story for sometime). In between I also stayed in Pondicherry for a couple of months and stuffed all our belongings in the car

After 1.5 years of awesome time in Goa, we decided to move to a city to ensure our son gets good education and zeroed on Pune as the best option for us. So we sold our Santro (bought for 75k and sold for 50k) and moved to Pune a couple of months back.

I have booked a sonnet and the new venue even before coming to Pune. While sonnet had 10 months waiting period, the venue just didn't impress me after its features came. Also had bad feeling about he safety of these cars. And most of the good cars had crazy waiting period. I was going to live on rent so Electric was ruled out.

While searching i came across this add for Audi approved A3 car. Looked good, had done under 40km and was less than 3 year old. I did the test drive, got a great feeling and on spot booked the car . My most expensive impulse purchase ever. But I am so happy with my decision. Another post to tell about my driving experience, sales and after sales service.

Hello Dracoon,

Welcome to the forum, it's great to have you on board!

While the Kia Sonet & Hyundai Venue are good products, the Audi-approved A3 is definitely a great purchase.

Would love to read more about your experience with the A3, since purchase.

Looking forward to your posts on the forum.

Cheers
