Hello from a motorcycle enthusiast

Hi Folks,

Venky here. I've benefited a lot from this forum in the past and finally became an approved member a few days back.

I am a motorcycle enthusiast in my late 30s. I've been riding commuter motorcycles for as long as I can remember, but finally had enough money to get into premium motorcycles a few years back. Bought a Triumph Thunderbird LT (cruiser) in 2018, and now on my first ADV- Africa Twin DCT. Love reading and discussing anything and everything related to motorcycles. Here to contribute and learn as much as I can, from all of you.

I am a product manager (tech) by profession, and have Bangalore my home since past 7 years.

I'm on the opposite side when it comes to bikes, about to get my License is a couple of months and most likely will inherit my uncle's 2014 Yamaha FZ-S.

Welcome from a fellow biker (as probably my handle also suggests: D).

I have been motorcycling almost all my life except the last few years and I miss it so badly, it hurts. But, where I live now, it just doesn't make sense so I decided to enjoy cars instead.

You can probably check out some of my motorcycle reviews on the forum when you get a chance. Btw, I am an adventure bike lover and see you have an AT. Do share an ownership review on the forum, would be a nice read.

If i ever buy another motorcycle in my life again. I know which one to get- BMW R1300 GS.

Welcome aboard Venky and good to see an AT rider here. What year model is your Africa Twin DCT - the 2020 / 21 model or the one before that? Would love to see some pics of it on this thread maybe.

Nice to see fellow ADV lovers here! The big GS has been and will always be the benchmark in the adventure touring category. I am sure R1300GS will be legendary (both feature and cost wise :-)).

Will surely share my ownership experience once I am able to do a few longer rides on my AT.

Hey Axe77, Thanks. Mine is a 2020 DCT Adventure sports (black). Took delivery from the first owner in Hubli. Here are two pics from my ride back home in Bangalore.
