Hi,

All the way from The Netherlands i would like to introduce myself. I’m Jorrick, 34 years old and have a passion for cars. In my short life I have owned a number of cars like:
Volkswagen Jetta – 1986
Honda CRX – 1988
Opel Astra - 2000
Volkswagen Golf MK3 GTI - 1995
Fiat Punto – 2002
Audi A2 – 2000
Citroen C4 Coupe – 2005
Volkswagen Polo – 2011 (present car)

Next to cars I also like motorcycles and also have my license for that. I own a Kawasaki ZZR600 but I don’t drive it that regularly.
I’m also member of other forums in the Netherlands and they mentioned this forum and the guide that a member called Gannu 1 made for retrofitting cruise control to a VW Polo 6R. I will be participating in there and try to help others that are doing this job.

Nice cars there & a lovely bike too I must say. I used to love the design of the Citroen C4 Coupe (One of the few French designs I ever liked!). You have some really interesting cars in that list. See you around on the forum. Distinguished BHPian @Jeroen is from Holland too. Are you already connected with him elsewhere? He is one master in the garage and its fun to read his thread any day.

~34 and with a (wonderful) car from 2011. Do we see a mid-life crisis fueled car acquisition somewhere around the corner?

Welcome to Team-BHP Jorrick! That is a long list of cars that you have already owned. ZZR600 is a lovely bike.

I went to Netherlands last year, visited Amsterdam and nearby places.

This is the place where we stayed and it was beautiful. Plan to go back again someday.

The cruise control retrofit to this day, is one of my most loved, passionately researched and attempted DIY. Have some very fond memories of that Saturday. *wink*

Damn, that's quite a lot! Do tell us about the Polo and the retrofits you've done on the car. I am sure there will be some interesting bits.

We get to read about the Dutch side of automotive, tech, museums, meets, car shows, drives etc through DBHPian Jeroen's eyes and threads.
