Hello Team-BHP

Hi guys,

Thank you for having me on here. I thought I knew about cars, until I started following this website. The huge library of knowledge and experience is wonderful.

I was especially thrilled when I read how to change the ICE in the Vento to the Jetta unit. I read the instructions and upgraded it myself and later added a bluetooth unit to it too. Saved me a lot of money, made my car more modern and avoided being potentially cheated by a VW dealership. So Thanks again

I am 40 years old. Currently live in Pune and am an avid car and bike fanatic. Having lived in multiple countries over the last 2 decades, I have had multiple cars so know a bit about quite a few. Ill list them chronologically:

Premier 118 NE - My 1st car. Learnt on it
Maruti Suzuki Esteem
Ford Escort - UK
Vauxhall Astra - UK
Ford Focus - UK
Honda Integra type R - UK
Audi A4 - UK
Mercedes CLK 420 - UK
Ford Fiesta
Ford Figo Diesel
Volkswagen Vento
Ford Figo Petrol - Current

Bikes:
Hero Honda Splendor
Kawasaki Z750 - UK
Ducati Monster - UK
KTM Duke.
No bikes currently as time isn't permitting.

Thank you again for having me on and hope to gain lot more knowledge and share my experiences out here.

Re: Hello Team-BHP

Welcome to TBHP Amsdoc. See you around on the forum. Yes - the treasure trove of DIY guidance threads, tweaks and hacks one can don on the car at home - is just endless here on TBHP.
A 118NE, Opel (I prefer the original marque!) Astra & a Focus. That's 3 cars from my list of all time favourites right there in 1 list. Made me smile!

Hope to see some nice threads coming from you soon! Take care & stay safe.

Re: Hello Team-BHP

Thanks Reinhard,
I loved the 118 NE. Best car to learn on. You could see all 4 corners!

The Opel/Vauxhall Astra was a nice car. We got the 3rd gen here in India and I drove it in a 2 week road trip around Kerala in 2001 which was awesome. The one in Uk I had was the 5th gen hatchback. It had a 1.8 L petrol auto. Was great but guzzled fuel.

The Ford Focus was best. 1.8 TDCI. Very versatile and a jack of all trades. Excellent handling and was great on motorways too. With the back seats down it had mammoth space. I also had a Audi A4 2L TDI S line at the same time and I preferred the Focus to the Audi most of the time!
