Namaste Team-BHPians!

Hello and greetings to all bhpians,

My name is Sachin and I am 24 years old from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I completed my Undergrad in Civil Engineering in Ahmedabad and Masters in Project and Infrastructure Management from London.Currently i am working as a civil engineer in an esteemed project in Ahmedabad.

Automobiles have played a huge part in shaping my childhood and adulthood. From burning my right leg calf through the hot silencer of Honda kinetic to learning to drive the 1st Gen Honda Activa to drifting the good old Maruti zen in my house garden (used to live in a huge gov. bungalow with big garden, another story to tell some other day) to drag racing the VW polo during college days.

Team-Bhp came at a later stage in my life. I had known about Team-Bhp around 2 to 3 years back but then i started to closely follow it during the last year when i was searching for a new car for our family.

Just like me, my father was also fond of cars especially SUV in his early thirties. He has been fortunate enough to own many cars during his life. Most of this car were bought second handed as he liked to change his cars every 3-4 years so the list of previously owned car is somewhat lengthy.
1) Fiat Premier Padmini
2) Old Jeep
3) Tata sumo
4) Toyota Qualis
5) Maruti Zen
6) Chevy Tavera
7) Toyota innova
8) Hyundai i10
9) Hyundai i20
10) VW polo

So Currently My garage consists of 2 cars

1) Toyota Fortuner 4x2 Automatic White 2015 model [1,67,000 kms]

When i was in London for my studies, my father sold the Innova which we had for about 5 years and bought this beast in 2017 directly from his friend. At the time of the purchase it had clocked around 1 lakh km but it has been mostly used on the highway between Ahmedabad and Rajkot and was in very good condition. This was the first automatic car in our garage and after driving it for almost 2 years now i don't see myself buying a manual in the near future. The ease to drive it in the traffic is so satisfying especially because it has almost zero turbo lag in the low-end RPM. After driving it in the traffic i realised that the respect you get from two-wheelers and rickshaw is very admirable. They just give you side seeing you in the rear view mirror and they will not intersect immediately and wait for you to pass. Currently this car is being used to chauffeur driven for my mom and occasionally by me when i have to go in dense traffic area where i would not like my new car to travel.

2) Ford Endeavour 3.2 white 2019 model

This car was bought last Oct'2019. My father wanted the new Fortuner but i was adamant to go for Skoda Octavia 1.8 Tsi but my father has something against sedan. After reading ChiragM and s2!!! official review and A.G. ownership thread and had seen GTO and other members vouching for Ford Endeavour the decision was then made to go for Ford Endeavour. And i must say the decision has not disappointment me a tiny bit. The car is just too much fun to drive on highways and the luxury which it provides over its rival Toyota is that something i can vouch for. More on this on the ownership thread which i am planning to write about next month.
Right now, We also have a third car in our parking garage which is a Toyota Innova 2012-2013 2.5 G (Diesel) 7 Seater but it is a government vehicle. My father is an I.A.S officer so it is his official car. Interestingly every time my father gets transfer his designation post changes, so does the department but the one thing is common is the govt provided official car will always be Innova, be it be old Gen or new Innova Crysta. The so called government babu's just have unparalleled love for Toyota Innova.

My hobbies and Interest

I have played Video games especially play station all my life untill i finished my college and then life happened when i started my job. I love long drives with friends especially at late night when the traffic is minimal. Many times i just solo drive during night at outer ring-road for the peace ,just me and my car with windows down with good old Bollywood music.

Finally i would like to thank The Team-BHP support for approving my membership and i look forward to have memorable journey with all other Bhpians.

Thank you Reinhard. Yes indeed Endy 3.2 is a gem of a vehicle in our road conditions. I love your DIY threads and i would like to do some DIY project on my old Fortuner but i am just afraid i would just make a mess of it!
