A dream come true

My name is Raval.

A very good evening to all Team BHP members. It is indeed a great privilege to be in Team BHP clan. I am looking forward for a great knowledge gaining experience also planning to share some of my tit bits.

Since when I'm following this platform? Is actually unknown to me too, But the I can say that I had been always and only following Team BHP. I have tried to be part of you earlier also once but couldn't succeed. May be after gaining an iota of wisdom I now understand Team BHP and its policies more maturely.

I have been born and brought up in Bhopal. I am married and have a lovely daughter (Myshka) who is 2 year and 9 months now. My father is an Ayurvedic Doc and mother homemaker, I have two siblings. I did my schooling from Carmel convent school.

After my 10+2, I was selected for National Defence Academy which was my childhood dream. Joined as a Air Force cadet, and went on to become a Helicopter Pilot in Indian Air Force. Its been a decade now but it still feel it went just right now. I am lucky that my childhood dream and passion became my career too.

My hobbies are Long drives, Philately, X country running, Movies, Military and aviation books. I play Volleyball, Table tennis and have started Golf recently.

I love driving so much that I have always driven to my hometown and even till Mumbai all the way from northern most part of our country each and every time I happen to get leave. But this does not continue now as I have a baby onboard now.

On Team BHP, I prefer to read about new car reviews, travelogues, Road rage (sharpening my skill to avoid road rage, temper issue), Accident and ways to avoid them, Tech advises and ownership reviews. I am proud that I don't break traffic rules knowingly. I stick to lane driving and discipline and expect others to follow which does not happen and lead to my disgruntlement.

I have a Maruti SX4 Vxi which I bought in 2008, that was my first love and first car I bought from my own sources. I am planning to change my car and buy Hexa XT 4X2 because i miss airbags and safety equipments in my current car. My co passengers are usually annoyed because I always force them to wear seat belt and baby has to be seated and buckled up in car seat or this car does not move, period.

I will shortly be coming up with a travelogue of Europe, which I did in last 14 days. This was a reason that I'm introducing myself late as I got confirmation mail on the day when I was leaving for my vacations. I am also planning to do a write up on Helicopters.

At last I would like to thank you all once again and would like to confess that I'm on cloud nine now.

Regards to all.
Raval

Hi! Welcome On board TBhp.

You probably would be the first Air Force Helicopter Pilot on the forum.

Enjoy your vacation, and please find time for the European Travelogue. A thread on helicopters would make for an interesting read too.

Thankyou Mr Kishore.

I'm back from vacations, trying to cope up with jet lag which I'm experiencing first time in my life.

I'm working on travelogue, but write up on Heli fleet will take some more time.

Lovely to have a young Fauji on board. Look forward to your threads. It will be terrific if you could write on choppers. They are more versatile than fixed wing (in my opinion at least), tougher to fly and can do things no fixed wing could. Read the rules carefully. GTO and the Moderators are worse than the senior cadets you dealt with at NDA :-)

Thankyou Narayan Sir,
At least some one has called me young after so long, My receding hairline do paint a wrong picture though.
Will respect Team BHP rules, NDA has grilled that into me.

Ps: Will try to keep the Heli blog restricted to Indian Armed forces, But after been through your blogs, I am worried If I can even come close to 10% of those.

Regards

Write what you enjoy and enjoy your time writing. What matters is the heart you put into it. There is no competition here. There are 25 year olds like Leo Shashi who know more about every nut & bolt of a car than I know about aircrafts and others like Karlosdeville who can track down almost any vintage car in India. And Samurai and Smartcat who know so much about economics that it is joy to read their arguments. So enjoy your time on line and welcome.
