I'm Arjun, and I'm finally here!

Hello BHPians! My name is Arjun, I'm from Hyderabad but study in Pune.
After about 4 years of hard work trying to come up with answers good enough to please the moderators I'm finally here!

A little about myself before we move to why I'm here.
I'm 19, and have been interested in cars primarily, but bikes too right from the age of 3 or 4. Things like fog lights and power windows used to fascinate me, they still do :P, But now my interests have moved to more technical parts and properties of a car thankfully. I tried to step into the automotive field and live behind the wheel by registering for the VW Polo Cup. Got selected, short listed, and then dropped out because my parents seemed to think of it as a bad teenage decision. What it was though, was an attempt to make a career out of doing what i love to do. Enough senti, now I'm doing my first year of engineering at CoEP, and hopefully will get into the SUPRA SAE team.
I'm going to get a bike soon, about which I shall ask on a different thread.
But I'd love to socialize and hang out if you're in Pune, so ping me then!

So you are still a student hun ? Good to see you falling in love with autos at such an early age.
Make sure you follow forum rules. Have a good stay.

Welcome aboard TBHP, arjun. Please make it a point to go through the rules so that you enjoy a pleasant stay on this forum.

I would suggest you remove personal details like a BB code from public messages. Anyone can open this message as a guest and you never know who will message you.

A real shame that your parents wouldn't let you compete in the polo cup. Unfortunately indian parents are still too academically oriented. Barring perhaps cricket, and then some more broad minded parents, most parents seem to see sport as not a career. Absolute shame.

Hope you are able to pursue your interest in racing and are able to make it.

New update! Made it to the BAJA SAE team of my college! Little question about the forum, where do I start a post about this? I'd like to keep you guys updated on the team progress and also get some advice.

it is really sad that you couldn't continue in the Polo Cup. That would have been one really good opportunity but maybe all is not lost and you will get another chance. looking forward to your posts
