The Great Indian Automotive Forum

Hi Guyz,

I am Basil, 27 years young, originally from Cochin, married and settled in Trivandrum, currently writing this from Manila, where I am on a project work for Shell International.

I own a 2004 Dec Palio 1.9 D, ThunderBlack, done 33K kms. No big complaints so far (other than few minor accidents), man I love this car. Also have a 93 Maruti 800, which most of the times lies in the car shed, still runs, runs good (gives me 20+ kmpl whatever i do with it). Shud go strong for another 10 yrs I guess. Also own a 2001 Yamaha RX 135. I have done my bit of modifications on this one. Had an expansion chamber, yezdi rims at the back, Sport Fenders and no head lamps during my college days. Now its back to stock condition and is doing good. Still gives me around 40kmpl.

I was having some spare time in office and was looking for some info on car modifications in the internet. It has always been in my mind to modify my vehicle, the mods tried on my bike shud tell u that. It is also worth noting that I am not into drastic mods. Just a few things here and there to give the car a new look. (I do like its current looks!!).

So searching the net, I stumbled upon this forum. My first impression was that it would be just another forum, with few members long inactive. Came in and was surprised to have all u guyz here and the loads of info.
Great work by the mods and all the active participants. Kudos to you. I guess this wud be the only indian forum for this noble cause. Glad to be here.

Hope to find answers to my queries. Dont think I could be of any help to any body as I place myself as a novice in this category. Lots to learn I guess.

Cheers guyz.

Welcome to TBHP.
That's a nice intro for a change. I've edited your post to remove bold text. It's difficult to read a long post with bold copy.

Go through the announcement section to know more about dos and don'ts.

Welcome to TBHP.
I too own a Palio D and it's wonderful car. You are going to have a nice time here.
There are few guys here from Trivandrum and they meet often. You should find few threads in the meets section.
