The Red Devil Is Here !

A warm hello to all the TEAM-BHP Members.

I joined more than a month back but my work didn't spare me any time to pen down an intro. So let me get started with my first post before wasting anymore time!

I am 23, a Mechatronics Engineer & currently working under "Engineering & Industrial Services" at TCS, Bangalore. I hail from Kolkata!

I have been a regular visitor to the Team-Bhp forums for the past 2 years and I have found that the wealth of knowledge at one's disposal here is simply phenomenal. Being a Automobile Fanatic since I was a little kid, I therefore couldn't anymore resist the temptation to join this ever-so-awesome community of petrol-heads!

The love of driving & cars seems to flow in our family blood. It started with my maternal Grandfather, who during his time owned an Opel Rekord, a couple of HM Ambassadors, a Standard Herald & a Gazel (or Gazelle I am not too sure). I have only seen the last two but I was too young to remember anything more! The mantle was later taken over from by Grandfather by my Uncles. I grew up hearing stories from my mother of the various road trips that they had undertaken. I always found it thrilling & that's how the car enthusiast found its way inside me!

The first car my dad purchased was a Maruti Suzuki Omni in 1998 but the first car I drove was a Hyundai Santro LP (2002 model), during my high school days. It was real fun to drive on the streets of Salt Lake with its slick gear shifts & peppy engine. Bid an emotional farewell to it last year, after 9 years of faithful service!

Currently, back home in Kolkata we have a Hyundai i10 Sportz (Kappa) & a VW Vento Highline (Petrol MT) & my Uncle's All New Honda City S!

I joined Team-Bhp because I have a penchant for gaining knowledge about the Automotive World, trying to learn as much as I can. And I would definitely love to share any useful info to the best of my knowledge!

Apart from my interest in Automobiles, I do like to indulge in a bit of Noob Photography. (Still learning the trade!)

Out here in Bangalore, I own a Firefox Cyclone, which I ride to play Tennis whenever work permits!

Some of you maybe wondering "what's with the name Red Devil?". Well, I am a die hard Manchester United fan!

Looking forward to a great experience on TEAM-BHP!
