Hello Petrol Heads!!

My name is Siddharth Kulkarni and I am really excited to be an approved member of TBHP. I want to thank the mods for approving my membership.

I am a software techie turned sales guy and handle the presales (Auto Manufacturing vertical) process of a large MNC software company.

I love clicking photographs and will post some soon. Love to on long drives over the weekend with my wife who is also an Auto enthusiast.

My current rides are as follows:

a) Honda City (ANHC) - clocked over 30k in 2 years.
b) Maruti 800 (1998 model) - clocked around 75 k
c) Honda Activa
d) Booked the 2011 swift (Hoping for the launch soon!)

Curious to know that the dealers have started accepting bookings for the new Swift. The launch will still take some time.

According to Mahalaxmi Auto the new dealer in Pune, there are already 3000 units ready and the predicted launch would be towards July end. I have already paid the booking amount of 25k and hope that I would get the car soon after the launch.

Congrats Siddharth and welcome to the forum. Looking forward to your pics regarding automobiles and related stuff which you might want to share with us.

In the meanwhile do visit the board rules section to familiarize your self for the forum dos and donts.

Please let us know about the new Swift booking details, didnt know they were already accepting bookings. You booked a petrol or diesel.

I have booked the Diesel top end variat. The news is still open to speculation but the dealer is accepting the booking. The receipt which I received has Swift VDi / Diesel Swift 2011, as he said though they have the inside news they still cant put it in black and white. My uncle who stays in Belgaum Karnataka confirmed that the lauch would be towards end of July as "Shantesha" the Maruti dealer there also gave him the July launch news.

Also, request you to follow our Team Bhp "Pune Tapri" meets thread.
We in Pune, regularly meet ( almost once a month) to share our knowledge.
Our next possible meet is on 2nd or 3rd July.

Guys if a car is booked before the launch how do you specify the color to the dealer (besides white and black color)

Same here. Kicked myself in the rear when I read the meet thread the day after the meet got over!

Depends on your dealer & how you handle him. Generally, you book your choice of color in advance with the understanding that the dealer will give you a choice later based on the initial lot of cars sent to that dealer.

Atleast that's the deal that was offered to me by the Ford dealer if I booked the new Fiesta.
