Come on guys! It's a sport. And it's just like a circus where nobody can be very much technically correct in achieving the results. Shortcuts/tricks/eyeblinders/shockers are just a part of the game. |
Exactly my point. First corner lockups have been a part of the sport for ages, then why do the stewards create such a rucus at the Japanese GP?

Atleast I have not seen such drastic & insane first corner lock-up that happened in Japanese GP in any GPs before!
Ferrari is looking in pretty good position to win the title but in drivers championship massa has lost his chance

Where is the lock up!? Its a first corner accident! How does it compare to Fuji start.
Hamilton's incident in Fuji was something similar to this.
Oh! My bad. Did I remind you guys of Montoya. And we all know what Montoya Was and Is! Anyway this move by Montoya on Schumacher is almost or exactly the same which Hamilton acheived in the 1st corner of Fuji! And it was as bad as Montoya's tactics!
YouTube - Austria 2001 - M. Schumacher - J.P. Montoya Accident
From what I can see in both videos, they were just racing incidents. The similarity between the first video and the Fuji start is that it was the first turn in the race and that many cars went off. If anyone is to be blamed at all, I don't know, but, the outcome was much worse than Fuji in every way.
The Montoya incident bears two resemblances to the Fuji start. The cars turned right and ran wide. It wasn't the race start. As much as I disliked JPM, I don't see this as any tactic. You can see, he had held his line, raced hard and lost the rear on the braking.
GTO is right. All in all, I do feel the stewards have been a little too trigger happy this year, whether it was the Fuji start or the Massa - Hamilton incident or the Massa - Bourdais incident or the Spa incident. The only well deserved penalty was the one handed out to Hamilton after the Canada pitlane incident.

NC, observer and commentator are the same? Atleast thats what I thought. |
It's not necessary to comment when observing. 2 different things.

But I thought it was well inter-connected. One who observes can comment. One can only comment if they observe.
Anyways, my definition was for a commentator, commentator cant comment unless he observes something.
Isnt this a prediction thread..?? i see nothing of that sort happening here.
Anyways New news is that Sao Paulo has extended its deal to host the Brazilian Grand Prix for a further seven years. So we will be seeing more of this Track in the future.
Guys,
Every F1 thread goes off at a tangent and ends up no-where. Some one likes Ferrari and some one likes McLaren while others love Renault.
I suggest we stick to the topic please. And no further personal comments or remarks anymore from ANYONE.

Aditya answered that question for me.
Montoya is as close as they get to true blue racers. He didnt care for reputations and if his car was quick enough he always went for wins. F1 for sure is poorer after he decided to opt for Nascar.
If Montoyas tactics ticked you off, do you remember Schumachers move on Alonso on the opening lap of the 2003 or was it the 2004 British GP. Schumacher lurched across the Hangar straight, driving the Spaniard onto the grass at 200 mph.
I was a big fan of Juan Pablo Montoya!
He was one real talented Race driver, but his bad luck in F1, the cars he drove, first in Williams and then Mclaren suffered from reliability issues, so he couldn't perform on the top!
Also, those years were dominated by Schumi and Ferrari!

I have always enjoyed Montoya's times in F1. Especially the ones between him & Michael. Even now Montoya acknowledges Schumacher to be one of the best racers he has ever come across.
Whatever Montoya was in those days he could do only less damage to the Schumacher & Ferrari domination. :D

Nothing ticks me off amigo!
Since, I thought I posted the video to compare Montoya's move against Lewis's move in Fuji. Montoya's move on Schumacher infact looks more mature racing to me!

No Shumie / Ferrari fan would ever agree to his lack of sportsmanship. Be it with his incidents with Alonso, Montoya, J Villeneuve, Barrichello.. well the list goes on.
Undoubtedly the all time best racing driver in the world however..

I would not put my money down on Hamilton just just. I did that the last season and all went just 1 point too sour.
Its going to be one cracker of a race. If there are no racing / Mechanical incidents involving Massa and Hamilton, Hamilton will take the title.

In your previous post your wrote "And it was as bad as Montoya's tactics!"
I am not sure if you approve of them or otherwise.
