I am definitely not renewing my F1TV subscription, current one will last till Apr. plenty time to figure it out. Hopefully initial few races will be competitive at the front.
YT qualy/race highlights will be sufficient it seems :Frustrati |
I have also decided not to renew the F1TV subscription. However, I see that the races are being shown on the Fancode app. The subscription for the entire season is Rs. 599. An added bonus is that Fancode app is available on the Jio set top box. So, I went ahead and subscribed.:)
Just when you give up hope, Fancode comes to the rescue!
Subscribed @ 599 and started watching Practice! :Cheering:
Has anybody used FanCode before? Does it have ads in between? And what about the number of device logins?
₹49 for one race is extremely tempting! F1 is no longer a rich man's sport (at least not for watching XD)
I'm thinking of getting a race pass for 49 and evaluate the Bahrain GP before going for a season pass. My F1 subscription is supposed to renew on 11th March, so that gives me time to evaluate Fancode.

I just watched Practice 2. No ads throught the session. Max resolution available is 1080p.
Few bugs on the platform. Volume control not working. It should be resolved soon.
Streaming is possible on only one screen at time.
P.S I watched on PC. Mobile App experience might be different.

I watched on my Android phone and Bravia in 1080p, though not simultaneously. Did not see any ads or glitches in volume control.
Can one watch the replay in FanCode or is it live only.

I did not see any ads in the practice sessions. Looks like 599 is for one screen. If you need simultaneous viewing on 2 screens, they have another subscription which gives you access to all live streams for 999 (one year).

I tried watching on mobile and on TV using the Jio STB. If you have a Jio broadband connection, it is very convenient to watch on TV.

The app shows highlights of the practice sessions, but there is no replay. I hope they include replays for the races.
Trying to find FanCode on my Google TV but couldnt find this app. I guess F1 streaming will be only on mobile device.
Can i airplay the stream from the ipad to the TV or will the app reject this?

Which commentary audio are they streaming? Is it the F1 TV team or Sky Sports?
FanCode to stream F1 races in India; watch a race for Rs 49 - Posts moved to a new thread.
Few Questions:
1. Is there replay option available?
2. Which commentary do they stream - F1TV or Sky Sports? - I like the Sky Commentary (with Brundle and Crofty) despite the blunders they make.
3. Will F1TV still continue to work in India if one wants to subscribe to it?
