To all of you jumping onto the F1 tv app do know that once the season starts the app will atleast 50% of the time give up on you. Just a basic search on social media of your choice for consumers complaining to F1 about the app screwing up the live race feeds should tell you so much.

Personally I wouldn't spend 2000 bucks on something that has the propensity to fail at that rate.

I got F1TV Pro in the evening today and tried to livestream on 3 devices simultaneously and it worked absolutely fine.

I think F1 is pushing viewers towards F1 TV pro and away from traditional TV and Streaming platforms. I wasn't aware that Hotstar was not streaming f1 this year at all! Thanks to this thread and suggestions from fellow bhpians, I have now subscribed to F1 TV Pro in my Apple TV, was charged Rs.2499/- for one year subscription. The interface seems good and i think it would offer way more than what hotstar ever did in terms of viewing experience.

Just a quick question though, im due to travel to Dubai during the Saudi Arabian Grand prix, can I access F1 TV Pro there? When i checked the F1 TV pro website, it says that F1 TV pro is not available in UAE. Last year, i was in Dubai during a f1 weekend and i had to download and pay one full year’s subscription on a platform called “Shahid VIP” just to watch one race!

I honestly had no clue about this Star Sports fiasco. I just saw this thread today and immediately picked up the F1 TV pro subscription through my browser at the introductory offer.

Downloaded the app on my phone and tried casting it on my Samsung TV.. Works perfectly

Star Sports is gone but Im sure this will make for an awesome viewing experience.

In the above snippet from Kap04, clearly mentions main race live stream will be available only on single device. Rest of the sessions may be available up to 6 devices.

I personally still on fence, and will wait once season starts as the interest for me waning over the years especially since Kimi and Seb no longer races. I may have to subscribe to monthly subscription for good races like Spa and give up on middle east snooze fests.

I'm still on the fence whether I need to spend Rs 2000 on a streaming service only for F1.

Subscribing Hotstar made a lot of sense especially with all other other entertainment content and even that wasn't this expensive.

I absolutely want to watch F1, but afraid I might have to "sail the high seas" as someone said like in my college days. (i.e. live streaming Sky Sports F1 or the ESPN/FOX (USA) wherever its being telecast)

Problem is that this "other option" needs an absolutely amazing internet connection since there is not way for streams to adjust the quality according to bandwidth which means its either very high quality stream or no streaming at all. Also depends a lot on whether the channel streaming links work at the time of the race

Instead of splurging on F1TV, I’d better wait for a more entertaining series on Netflix “Drive to Survive”. Season 5 is currently ON and just hoping it renews for Season 6!

Ok, finally bit the bullet and bought the $24 subscription from F1 website.

As per the above post on Reddit, it seems that we can stream on multiple devices as of now even though F1 says that only 1 device can live stream at a time.

I tried to stream the testing session now on both my PC and my phone, and it works!

If F1 can allow multi device streaming for at least 3 devices, they will attract a lot more users. Because at Rs 2000 - 3000 its way too expensive for a new casual Indian F1 fan who is most probably a college going student or a recent graduate earning peanuts - especially when they can watch Cricket for much less or for free

This is dumb move by Liberty Media, they are just pushing viewers away, 2k for just one sport, which might end up being a one man show. Nah, I will pass.
Speaking of Hotstar, it's just PL to watch on it everything else is gone!

But you get so much more on the F1 app.
Even F2,I believe. I saw some bits and pieces last year, and it's about as much fun as F1, but with more racing.

I am late to the party and I have missed the 20% discount.

Now, in the website annual subscription is showing available @ $29.99 (Annual). However, in the app it is showing INR 6,000 for annual package. Draconian pricing for India.

I have a question here. If I subscribe on website by paying $29.99, will it work if I log in to F1 App in TV (here in India)? Request guidance. If someone has already tried it and if it is working, confirmation will be super helpful.

Note: I have Samsung TV and I was not able to find the App there but got it in Fire TV.
