So good to have the boys back clap:clap:. I love the Bahrain track and the race time of 2030 hours is just perfect.
Pro Tip = To get
in the mood, start watching Season 3 of Drive To Survive on Netflix. Me & my brother started it and feel this series is the perfect prelude to the season!

Love the Bahrain track - for no other reason than the fact that I can brag I have cycled (and run) on a part of it. The Bahrain Ironman route actually ends its cycle route on the main circuit and the run too finishes in one the pit lane areas. For an F1 fan / car enthusiast when you’re at the tail end of a 90 kms bike ride its quite an exhilarating feeling to be actually riding on an F1 track.
The season opener usually happens in Melbourne . I am kinda used to watching the first race of the season while eating my lunch.
Going by history , both Vettel and Hamilton have won it 4 times. Lewis's Mercedes has won the last two GPs. Hopefully Seb's Mercedes powered Aston can win this race.

I really don't like night races. They usually end late in the night. My parents usually watch the full race while I have to go to bed early (school night). I actually like the timing of 5:30 PM. Perfect in my opinion.
I just hope that with all the changes in the driver line ups and with new drivers this season, it would be different and more entertaining compared to the last few seasons.
Last season was better I felt due to some entertaining races here and there.
Hopefully RB, McLaren, Aston Martin can come close to Merc this season as well.
Wow!! Is this year going to be close or what. Excellent FP1. Very competitive.
As someone said, there's no mid field anymore, just a field. One mistake in one corner and about 5 people would qualify ahead of you.
And I just love the Alpine logo. Infact, all of them look beautiful on TV.

Wouldn't be surprised if Merc is sandbagging as usual.
Honda engines have improved . Good to see that.

I would also not be surprised If Merc dominate.
But ,I also would not be surprised if a Red bull ends up at the top.
I believe McLaren are a strong contender for the third place in constructors this year. Yes, testing are practice are not what counts, but you'd rather that than people asking if you're "sand bagging". Hope I haven't jinxed this for McLaren fans, but the cars do look fast !
Gap between first and last is a second, that will make midfield battles really amazing. Here's to hopping that Lewis will face some competition from Max, Checo and Sebastian (hey, a fan can hope !).
I am dead sure Aston Martin is sand bagging. Its so clear how they are trying so hard, I mean the difference between Stroll and Vettel would be far more considering the skill, but it isn't. I can't wait for Vettel to be on the podium again.
Hamilton said that the car feels better, but Bottas went as far as saying that the car was 'undrivable'. Now I'm actually beginning to wonder how much Mercedes are sandbagging rl:

Perhaps both are speaking the truth, there cannot be a comparison of raw talent between Hamilton and Bottas. Hamilton is on another planet so to speak.
Bottas is preparing everyone if he has a bad showing tomorrow and Hamilton being Hamilton is focusing on the positives (car being better than what it was) and will extract the maximum from the Mercedes.
Cheers
It's good to be back. Formula 1 weekends again. Yippee Daba Doo!
Terrific start to the season if the free practices are anything to go by. Vettel in 11th separated from Lewis Hamilton in 3rd by 0.7s. And 1 second covering the entire field from Verstappen to Alonso in 15th.
And who would have thought! A McLaren in P2 after the RB of Vestappen. Carlos Sainz seems to have the measure of Ferrari who look very promising.
Can't wait for quali later today.
Drive on,
Shibu.
Just watched the FP3, the Redbull looked so sorted, a lot better than the Merc.
It will be Max, Ham, Bottas and Perez in the qualification. Let's see if my prediction will come true.
What a qualifying performance by Max.
This is the year we will see some very good scrap at the top for the Driver Championship.
Max vs Hamilton is something we can't miss.
Ferrari has some qualifying pace, not sure how is their race pace.
Gasly is driving brilliantly in Alpha Tauri. Alonso in the top ten, can't write him off easily.
Looking forward to the race tomorrow.
