MotoGP to be aired live on Discovery Plus app

Motorsports fans can now watch MotoGP races live on the Discovery Plus streaming app. Races will be streamed live starting with the Austrian GP scheduled for August 15-16, 2020.

The qualifying session of the Austrian GP will be streamed live at 4.50 pm on August 15 and 3.30 pm on August 16. The main race will be aired on Sunday, August 16, 2020, from 2.15 pm onwards.

With more than 11 races to go this season, Yamaha's Fabio Quartararo leads the rider's championship standings with 59 points. Maverick Vinales and Franco Morbidelli are in second and third place with 42 and 31 points respectively.

Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez will sit out the Austrian GP as the Honda rider is still recovering from an injury. Marquez had fractured his arm after a crash at the season opener at Jerez. Stefan Bradl will take his place alongside Alex Marquez.

Well its listed as premium and nobody need that for live events. Just go to your mobile service provider's tv or entertainment app and search Eurosport HD. JioTVv and Vodafone play has it not sure about Airtel. Just keep in mind they air FP4 (of MotoGP only), qualifying and race of all categories.

But on Discovery+ you can watch replays of old events and it is cheaper than MotoGP's VideoPass.

I recently discovered the Airtel Thanks App does not have Eurosport and hence, Airtel users cannot use the method.

I was pleasantly surprised when I found MotoGP on the Discovery Plus app on my Firestick! Subscription to Premium content is dirt cheap at 299/- per year & now the addition of MotoGP makes it all the more VFM.

On Twitter they replied to someone confirming this. They said they have MotoGP rights for the upcoming season.

I do, the live stream just doesn't work on the mi android tv device, neither does it work in the laptop browser, the live video plays and immediately it says next video in 5 seconds and skips the live stream. I am totally pissed off.

So finally with no options, I had to login to airtelxstream site on the laptop for the Eurosport channel and connect laptop to TV.

I would suggest not to subscribe to discovery plus at all for MotoGP.

I'm facing the exact same issues. Live telecast doesn't play on the Android TV at all. On the Edge browser on my PC - most of the time the grayscale overlay with the pause button doesn't go away in full screen mode. On Chrome, I have the issue with Live telecast skipping to a replay after 5 seconds!

I had emailed their support last week but no response. Did the same again today and rated 1 star with a comment on Play store.

I too rated the app 1 star on store and gave feedback.

I was able to watch the first race on the live channel feed in the app without any issues. Was using the firetvstick.
