New 300cc Supersport category in World Superbike Championship

According to a report on motomatters.com, the FIM and Dorna (promoters of World Superbikes and MotoGP) have decided to include a new category of racing, which happens to be the 300cc category. It is reported that already the Kawasaki Ninja 300, the KTM RC 390, the Yamaha R3 have been homologated along with the Honda CBR 500 R. The last is surprising considering it is 500 and not 300 while Honda if I remember correctly has a 300 in Thailand and Indonesian markets. For more news on this, here is the link
