Looking at this race I can dare say my cycle tires are better....

What on earth is happening here? The left rear is taking a beating.

It is just debris everywhere.

Now, Vettle's gearbox busted and another Safety Car deployed.

Hope Kimi can hang on for the remaining laps. The championship gets better !!.

Vettel out. 3 tyre blown, all 3 left rear. What a dramatic British gp

That was a brilliant call by Ferrari to box Alonso. :thumbs up

What a race! Webber was on fire in last few laps but Rosburg kept cool and drove Merc home.

Final standings:
Nico
Webber
Alonso

What a race by Hamilton and Alonso.
First time I am seeing racing in final laps this season . Hamilton from comfortable 1st to 19th and finished 4th wow.

And pirelli what are you doing! Am glad you are not Durex else instead of tire explosion we might have population explosion!

For me this was the best race of the season so far... wow. What drama !

Solid drive by PDR and Adrian Sutil, I imagine Sutil would have bagged the podium had his tires been fresh.

On another note, I think Ferrari needs to wake up, it is obviously due to the misfortune of others Alonso was able to get on the podium today. Vettel is going to run away with the championship this year if things don't change.

Exciting, eventful race! 4 rear left blowouts at high speed & Vettel DNFs. Most exciting finish of a race this season. Interestingly, all 3 pitted under the last SC. Lotus blundered by not doing the same else would have been even better.

Well, at least both Kimi & Alonso cut into Vettel's lead.

We had 4 right? Perez was the last one.

Too bad Webber didn't get a few more laps. British fans were cheering Vettel' DNF like mad.

Ferrari and Alonso as always maximizing the most on Sunday. That last pit call for new option was profound. But the team clearly needs to find pace on Saturday.

Merc is now 2nd in constructors.

What an incredibly weird race!!

When Hamilton's tire let go, I was like , but when the others' tires let go, my expression slowly turned to :Shockked:.

Although quite dangerous, I have to say, that it made the race quite exciting in some ways. The last few laps were just absolutely insane fun, with Webber catching Rosberg and both Alonso and Hamilton on an absolute charge. And when these 2 go on a charge, you just sit there and watch in awe.

Congrats to Rosberg for the win, but I find Hamilton more worthy in this race. Rosberg almost got the race handed to him on platter, with Hamilton's tire explosion and Vettel's gearbox issue. Not taking away anything from him, he drove really well in the final stages to not conk under the pressure of Webber.

All in all, an extremely exciting race, although could have done without the tire failures.

There are some unconfirmed internet rumours that even Hulkenberg and Gutierrez's tires burst as well, and was not televised.

Hulkenberg had a slow puncture. Not sure about Gutiierrez. Highly unlikely that a tyre failure would have gone untelivized.

Rosberg called by stewards for not slowing down for yellow flags!

His result will stand as per ESPN F1.

Jokes apart.
This is really bad publicity for Pirelli. Beats the whole objective of them being in F1.

I was thinking the same.

My thoughts on the race:
- Very unfortunate what happened to FI. Was really expecting a podium. The last SC with pits really sealed it in others favour.
- I thought to summon the Grosjean but that was proven to be unnecessary as the transmission god came instead.
- Tyres! Tyres! Tyres! One after the other boom boom boom. While quite scary for the racers it added the much needed spice to the race.
- Extremely unfortunate for Hamilton, I'm quite certain this win was his if it wasn't for the blown tyre.
- Rosberg once again proves he can compete head on if given a strong car.
- Paul's starting position post penalty compared with his finishing position for the second time has shown us he has indeed matured as a driver.
- Alonso up on podium has saved the championship battle.
- Williams still 0. Is this their worst season ever?
