Skoda unveiled the new company logo that represents its change in brand philosophy for accelerating growth. The new logo will be used on all Skoda models worldwide from year 2012. Moreover the company is also bringing new corporate design that will be absorbed by the dealers, leading to a redesigning in layout and design of showrooms.

A ha. Good news for Skoda owners whose car logos were stolen. Now they can fix 'all new' logo :D
So the new logo does not have Skoda Auto written on it?

Its quite similar - most people wont even notice its new.

The new green adds a little more pop though.

The new logo will be used for dealerships & company profile, the cars will get it in 2012 :)

cheers..

Looks good and the colour will stand out on the car. Not as sober as the earlier green.

Quite a few companies are removing the names from their logo's. Starbucks is also going in the same fashion, where the logo will do away with the SB word and just have the mermaid

Another product launch for the logo thieves!!

What's with the hole though? Would'nt the underpaint show through that on an vehicle?

I dont see anything new in the logo . only the name has gone above thats all.

^^
+1

And i guess they would've paid fortune to the graphic designers to get this project done.

Compared to this FIATs logo change was indeed a change.

The only thing different is the "Name" has been removed from the logo, plus the color has been changed to a brighter green. I like.

However, was this done only recently? I've seen that logo been sold on Briskoda and such forums. I had thought of buying it from there but the color made me think it was a duplicate logostupid:.

Hope they come up with something that would make the logo undetachable from the car.

Looks good,

The hole ofcourse would be a dummy hole as they do need to keep it closed on the logo plate itself else the body colour would show through.

They would now be able to write Skoda seperately on the rear of the car besides having the logo in the centre (as it does not menton Skoda). Currently besides the logo they just mention the name of the model.

Will the change in Logo bring a change in A.S.S of Skoda :)

The new green looks more catchy and attractive.

I would like to see more than one dealer for Skoda in Chennai.

Looks good; as said by Rehaan, most people wont notice the changes and yet it is contemporary yet subtle. Very intelligent usage of that particular hue of green.

The reason is the volume of business generated in non-English-speaking countries like the BRIC group is growing exponentially.

The new one looks quite similar to the old. Many will not even notice the change.

Lets hope this change is extended into their A.S.S across the world.

I dont understand why they keep on changing the logo constantly, instead of changing the logo , they should change their behaviour towards customers(After sales service). they will spend millions of dollar's in changing logo's , etc but they wont spend on customer's real requirements.

Just my thought.

Why do companies keep changing their logos?

The really big companies hardly or never change their logos. I guess the biggest exception would be Fiat. Anyway in this case I don't think it would matter much as the new logo is very similar to the old one.
