The Fiat 500 USA test driven for more than 4 million miles!

Just stumbled across this news in the official fan page of Fiat USA in FB!

Excerpt from the fan page :

Quote:
"By the time the Fiat 500 gets to the showrooms it will be among the most throughly tested cars in the world. Fiat and Chrysler have partnered on making the 2012 Fiat 500 the best version yet."
If you're interested to know how they tested the Fiat 500, visit - Fiat 500 USA

Re: The Fiat 500 USA test driven for more than 4 million miles!

FIAT is adding some serious efforts, which is appreciated.
Quote:
“The new 2012 Fiat 500 has been intelligently adapted for the North American market,”
But what does the above mean? C'mon, what're they trying to say? "Intelligently adapted" is a generic term, it can be used anywhere.

Also, do they really need to test for 4 million miles? Does any average person in their lifetime clock 4 million miles?

PS - Couldn't help thinking, even if the car returns 40 mpg, does it mean they've consumed 100000 gallons of fuel? Gosh!!!
