World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.

Dear Friends,

According to Top Gear (UK), These are the world's top 10 crappiest super cars ever.

Weber Faster One (2008)

This Swiss monstrosity promises 900bhp and a top speed in excess of 260mph. Just two problems: no one's ever actually driven one, and it looks like a nightmarish Tim Burton interpretation of a BMW Z4. The horror!

#2.
World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.-img02.jpg

DeLorean DMC-12 (1981)

Looked like a supercar, went like a lumbering old Metro. With a 130bhp Peugeot V6 instead of the optional flux capacitor, the DMC-12 was woefully slow: catalytic converted models took 10 seconds to crack 60mph. And couldn't fly.

#3.
World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.-img03.jpg

Vector M12 (1995)

Denounced by one J Clarkson as "the worst car in the entire world", the M12 was a rebodied Diablo with the sophistication of a mastodon and the build quality of a Glastonbury tent. Made the Lambo look like a sensible, reliable choice.

#4.
World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.-img04.jpg

Caparo T1 (2007)

Billed as an ‘F1 Car For The Road', the 575bhp Caparo can do 0-100mph in five seconds flat. Problem is, most of the time it won't, preferring to be broken or substantially on fire. Or both. Scorching performance at its worst.

Panther 6 (1977)

Inspired by the Tyrrell P34 (the F1 car that Jody Scheckter called 'a piece of junk') the Panther had an 8.2-litre twin-turbo V8 and a claimed top speed in excess of 200mph, a claim never substantiated. Difficult to understand why.

#6.
World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.-img06.jpg

Ferrari 400 (1976)

Not to be confused with the 400 Superamerica of the 1950s (which was ace), the 400 was a bog-awful pretend GT and the first Ferrari with an auto' box. Designed to woo lazy Americans, it never went on sale in the States. Oops.

#7.
World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.-img07.jpg

Aston Martin Virage (1989)

Conceived in the booming mid-80s but released in the depression of the early 1990s, the Virage was average to drive, shoddily built and, despite costing £120,000 (over £200k in today's money) had headlights borrowed from an Audi 200.

#8.
World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.-img08.jpg

Mitsuoka Orochi (2005)

James May raved about this Japanese oddity, but he's a bit odd. Inspired by the Honda NSX but nowhere near as fast, attractive or acceptable, the 230bhp Orochi resembles an aroused bottom feeder trying to suppress wind.

#9.
World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.-img09.jpg

Lamborghini Jalpa (1981)

Not an awful car in its own right, but suffered from its billing as the useable, affordable alternative to the Countach. That's like trying to make a living as a friendly, vegetarian mako shark. Or a prudish porn star. Or Nickelback.

#10.
World's Top 10 Crappiest Super Cars Ever.-img10.jpg

Jaguar XJ220 (1992)

This 217mph monster was the world's fastest in its day, but the XJ220 could have been so much more. Customers put down deposits for a 4WD V12 hypercar. They ended up with a RWD V6. Safe to say, some were a bit peeved about this.

Thanks everyone will like hear your views.

P.S. Mods, I don't know whether this is the right forum or not. Please move it or delete it if similar thread exists (though I have searched and not found anything). If everything is right, kindly delete the P.S. portion. Thank you for your effort.

Worse, the Mitsuoka Orochi never actually had an engine.

Though the list is ok, calling the XJ220 a crappy Supercar is simply an insult. One of the fastest supercars of its time, it was a marvel. Imagine that much power from a V6.

Completely agree with Dippy here. If anyone has seen XJ220 for real, he would know that it feels very special and exotic. And talk about performance... Watch it killing a Zonda in this video!

How can the Jaguar XJ220 and the Aston Martin Virage and the Lamborghini Jalpa even be on this list!? That's utter blasphemy! Clarkson is quite notorious for his strong views on several automobiles anyway. So it doesn't really matter that much!

That Vector M12 has a lovely green-house. Sweeping view, I'd say.

But surprised to see the Jag, Ferrari & Lambo's here. The rest seem to be wannabe's who missed the turn and landed up here in this list.

Completely disagree on the XJ220, Jalpa, Vector and the DeLorean being anywhere near crappy! They are all drop-head gorgeous to say the least.

I always wondered why they never plonked in a more powerful engine in the Delorean. Those doors are so cool, and that stainless steel body.Wonderful classic.

For some reason, looking at weber, I'm reminded of the avatar of DerAlte sir.
The second one, DeLorean, reminded me of Back to Future. So I went to Google & found my understanding was right - DeLorean Going Back Into Production

Vector reminds me of Ferrari F50

I couldn't feel anything ugly, except Mitsuoka Orochi!!!

I simply love the XJ220 and the DMC simply for their design. Why qualify every car on terms of their performance. There is so much more than that, so much that matters.

Hey Scorcher, Zonda do come in RHD option. The reason not to bring it to India so far might be the price OR notoriously low GC, of course these are my guesses.

Personally, I would settle for any supercar - even if its in the Crappy List ! I'll pass off any quirkiness as a "supercar thing", along the lines of Jeep and Bullet ownerships !
