New Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport @431kph!!!

Bugatti has created what is likely to be the ultimate version of its world-beating hypercar: the Super Sports.

Bugatti sent its official test driver Pierre Henri Raphanel out on Volkswagen's Ehra-Lessian high-speed oval with the first Super Sports to see just what it could do.
With output bumped up from 1,001 horsepower to 1,200 horsepower, torque swelling to 1500Nm and a revised aerodynamic kit, Raphanel managed 431kph!!

The first five production Super Sports will sport the same black and orange finish as the record car and all production models will be electronically limited to 415kph to protect the tires.
The Veyron Super Sports will be publicly shown for the first time at the Pebble Beach in August. No prices yet (as if it matters)

This is one helluva Bugatti but these guys could have given it a better paint job It's more like the one Porsche does with the GT3 RS. Orange wheels and all...
The roof looks a bit weird but I guess that aids aerodynamics. Brilliant piece of engineering nevertheless!

1200 hp is enough to revitalize a dead planet - as Top Gear might say !

OMG ! As if the existing ones weren't enough, here comes 1200 mad horses ! This is the ultimatum that feeds smoke to all its competitors. Great going Bugatti !

OT - Yes, I too think Bugatti could have thought out a better color combo for such an epic car. Sure, my booking goes only after the initial 5 is sold. Duh!

Here were are celebrating the arrival of the Veyron in India and now Bugatti goes out and does this

I am really interesting in seeing a video of this too. Hopefully Top Gear will do it again this time. Now thats what I call a piece of engineering. What an automobile.

P.S : It would make a nice JBL car wot Sam Kapasi?

Finally a proper Veyron sub-variant, as opposed to the 239283038021 special editions they've been churning out every four weeks.

Bugatti should now contemplate rivaling NOT Pagani, Ferrari etc....but Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin etc etc

The Supersport will cost $2.4 million and only 30 will be made. This will be the final Veyron edition before going out of production.
With a weight reduction of 100 kilos, the supercar will sprint from 0 to 100kph in 2.2 seconds!

This is the epitome of automotive technology and perfection. It scales new heights and I won't be surprised if Bugatti launch a replacement flagship that can do the magical 500 km/h!

The Veyron is the yardstick against which all super-cars should be measured!

Having said that, I do not like the paint-scheme on this. It mimics the 997 II GT3 RS and to be honest, it looks quite horrid even on the Poker! I'd have loved to see it in a Pearlescent white with graphite-black wheels. The oof does look rather odd, but it helps in achieving that extra 10 mph I suppose.

P.S. Bugatti, please don't sell the Super Sport to people who might drive it into lakes and rivers!

Veyron will always remain a car above everything else.Sure you have cars faster than the Veyron, but nothing will come close to combining the luxury of its interiors, the effortless manner in which it drives to the maniacal speeds it achieves.Thats the beauty of the veyron.

We have fighter jets that achieve supersonics speeds, but there was only one Concorde.

PS I think Bugatti supports Netherlands,Go Oranje!

who cares, no owner will ever see it, these types of speeds are meant for prototypes and concepts, leave better road engineering to the street and this fluf for magazines. I think the veyron is pretty useless, wud much rather have a Zonda R at the same price point.
