First official pic courtesy carscoop, its the new CL 63 AMG. And no, it wont be called as S class coupe as previously speculated, rather it will retain its CL moniker.

The CL has always been one of the classiest coupes around for years.

The CL looks quite dopee! Definitely a step-up from its previous generation. I've seen a couple around HK and I think it looks quite nice even if its not an AMG. The CL's are quite rare! :thumbs up

The original CL is probably the most BEAUTIFUL car I have ever seen!

Wish I could say that about its upcoming reiteration but I can't - the oversized front grill isn't working for me - why does this seem like a chop? I know carscoop says official..but still...

never thought i would say this as im no mercedes fan but this CL actually looks good!

It's nice. Quite classy. The changes seem subtle enough that it wouldn't make the existing CL owners feel shortchanged. And although they aren't in the same league exactly, I'd still put my money on an Audi S5 or a BMW 650i. :)

So what's new?The CL550 4MATIC now packs an all-new twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 engine with around 429 horsepower and a beefy 516 lb-ft of torque.
All of that extra grunt means the CL550 4MATIC can scoot to 60 mph in a scant 4.9 seconds, but that's nothing compared to the big-boy CL600. The range-topping coupe can click off the dash to 60 mph in a mere 4.5-seconds

I guess I wouldn't, after all! The new CL looks fabulous. This car would be the first and last thing about luxury coupes. It's fantastic! It may be, theoretically, an S class with 2 doors less, but I think it's more than that!

I never liked the CL class and I don't like the new front of this CL either. And the interior has an overdose of wood. I don't know why Mercedes even created the CL class when they already had the much better looking and more practical CLS at a much lesser price!!
I'd still pick the S5 over this :)

Some of my observations:
1. The rear bench looks quite cramped even for a coupe.
2. The interior is too 'brown'
3. Love the V12 logo!
4. Why does the tacho go in the reverse direction??? It's awkward!
5. It still gets the boring old COMAND system.
5. The CL includes new safety technologies including Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Adaptive High Beam Assist, Night View Assist and more.

Suddenly, I have taken a liking to the AMG version of the facelift. Still not impressed with the normal coupe, though I must say that those rear seats look super pleutocratic, nice and comfy and smug...

Somehow, the W215 is the only CL that does it for me.

Aw don't be so hard on it! It's not that bad! Come it to something in its league like the BMW 650i/M6 and it's quite alright, I think!

agree: The V12 Logo is lovely! The interiors are quite 'brown' too, but then again, it is a luxury coupe!

Haven't you seen Aston Martin's take on the tacho meter?! It actually goes the other way! This one isn't as awkward as that! But that doesn't mean it's not quirky! :D
