As everyone mentioned, its definitely a scam!

When you bought the car, did the seller give you a part of the title? You have to immediately go to DMV and check whose name the car is still registered, perhaps they mailed you the title and you didnt get it.

Have you tried checking the price at carmax? They usually give decent prices compared to other dealers.

Honda Accord at $4,000 range should be fairly easy sell provided you have the title ready. Also based on which location you are, maybe one the Tbhp members can help in person.

It will be difficult to sell that model of V6 Accord. That is the model with the flawed transmission. And that is the first thing which comes out if anybody googles it.

Carmax might give you a 1000 . Maybe.

From wiki

"Despite the Accord's reputation for reliability, the V6 models were plagued by transmission failures and prompted class action lawsuits against the company (4-cylinder models were also affected, but not to the same extent). This caused Honda to extend the warranties for the 2000 through 2001 models to seven years or 109,000 miles (175,000 km). 1998, 1999 and 2002 cars were considered for extended coverage on a case-by-case basis. No formal recall occurred. In Canada, recall letters were sent out to owners who fell within a certain VIN range; this warranty was later re-extended for some owners to seven years in length."

Not really, My brother used to have same model (same color too lol) with similar miles & he was able to sell it just fine. These Japs hold their value pretty well even with these known issues.

Well he has to apply Indian bargaining tactics to it, right?

I price it at $3600, the buyer quotes $2000, we settle to a middle figure around $2800. And yea, it's still over the kbb value! Objective achieved!

**Ka-ching!**

LOL I meant it retains its value well didnt mean it will command more than what its valued at

But on a side note, Black book values are more accurate than KBB's

Re: Buying, Owning, Driving and Maintaining a car in North America

Have you tried getting an evaluation/quote from any of these sites. Carvana is the best according to Popular Mechanics for trade or instant cash. Will be less than a private buyer, but without the hassle.

Carmax
Roadster
Vroom
Caravana https://www.carvana.com/

This is an interesting article:
http://www.caranddriver.com/features...at-vir-feature

The annual track test by Car and Driver featured almost the who's who of performance cars out there.
Following screenshot shows the cars in increasing order of lap times.

Congrats! I moved to Seattle,WA recently and see a lot of these around. They always invite for a quick sprint and loose to my bimmer

I got a New Jag XF for my wife a couple months ago and its a lot of fun to drive the supercharged car.

To add to the talk about using Craigslist, it is the best place you can get the most money for your car. Just have to be patient and wait for the right buyer. I will ignore any type of text or email communication. If they can't pick up the phone and call they are probably not that interested.

Dude, don't skip the bumper, sell ur kidney but get the bumper. If u need help in selling ur kidney, let me know. I sold mine to get clear bra.
On a serious note, my last car( pathfinder) did not have it the worse area was the bumper, chips, bugs that were permanent and sand blasting.

A lot of people who race STI especially on the street donot realize that it a not the best car to do that. It's an scalpel not a hammer, it's a car that makes u feel like a "driving God" ( copyright Richard Hammond ) for 35000 bucks. It certainly is not fastest or even close but it's accurate and tight. It does not do anything else well at all and when you drive it, it makes you want to red line it, takes corners with godly aggression and surprisingly at the end of all this when you park, you still park taking just one spot ( almost always in the corner) unlike some other drivers.
