I would start with some weight reduction on that car, rather than increasing Hp.

The 2011 Dodge charger R/T has I believe a 0-60 of 5.2 secs.
The Mustang GT with almost similar power is at 4.4 secs. More than 0.5 sec diff.

I believe it is due to the weight. I would start with CF parts.

Anyway this is my opinion and people have different preferences. Do what you think is fit.

That would certainly be the way to go if i were looking to set quarter mile records with my car. Which i am not!
Btw, you are comparing a full size sedan with a coupe there. Though i get your point.
Its just that a Charger is not the kind of car one buys to keep it stock specially now that the tunes are out for 2011+ models.

Yep, that's what I thought.

Since this is your daily driver best stick with stock suspension, etc.

You'll get a lot of tunes - just make sure the tune is easily reversible and is a reliable one.

Yeah
I am reading lot of people are having initial problems with using DiabloSport's tunes on 2011+ models. I will wait some more to make sure they have ironed out all the issues.
And thanks to Magnuson Moss Warranty act, I can atleast go for some bolt on mods and not void warranty right off the bat.

Well, if the bolt on causes the failure in any other part- the manguson moss act may not be valid.

For example if a low restriction air filter admitted particles of larger size than what the engine was designed for, and thereby scoring the cylinder,they will not honour your warranty.

Even if you replace the low restriction filter with a standard filter, but there is no damage to filter, but they still see high diameter patricles in the cylinder with no damage to the filter, Your warranty might still be invalid.

Tread carefully, all those are written by a huge bunch of engineers working with lawyers. Use only proven products.

IMHO, a diabolosport tune is an unproven product.

But if you get a Mopar tune, that is proven. I don't know whether Mopar had tunes for the R/T or 300C

I have heard of one case where the warranty on a differential was denied because, aftermarket wheels were used (20" instead of regular size). The vehicle was a chrysler 300C

There is no such thing as a Mopar tune. Never has been and looks like never will be. They have partnered with a couple of vendors (Arrington and Arrow) but details are sketchy. From what has been released so far, they will sell kits and tunes through their own PCMs. And those will also be locked tunes. But since these kits will come with a PCM, they are probably going to cost a bomb.

OTOH, Diablosport tunes have been running successfully on plenty of RTs, SRT8 and the likes. Its true that their recently released 2011+ tunes have had some issues but i expect them to iron these out soon, if not already. There are plenty of vendors and tuners as well who provide custom tunes or CMRs on heavily modded cars that are delivered through DS's tuners. Of course, one has to be prepared for some initial hiccups in any kind of modding effort. Otherwise, its best to leave the car stock.

As for the warranty example, I am sure there must have been something more than just the wheels, because some editions of 300 themselves come with 20" wheels.

Thanks vineethvazhayil, amitoj, Technocrat, Jomz.Dealer quoted 18K. After negotiation it was 16K+tax+3 year warranty(1600) comes little more than 18K.

What about your car price vineethvazhayil.

We started off at 20k and negotiated 19k. Added warranty and sales tax etc. on top of that.
You are in a good time to buy cars in the US (December).
