Suzuki Germany releases special edition Swift Sport - Read Music Edition

Suzuki has released a new 2 door Sport version of Swift in Germany, albiet more inclined towards Music rather than pure Sporting.

Called as the Rock am Ring edition, the new Swift gets a Clarion Infotainment System with a 6.9-inch color display, 30 GB HDD , iPod connectivity and upgraded speakers. Plus, Special badging on the inside and outside to mark this out in the crowd.

The car is capable of developing 125hp and can reach top speed of 200 kmph, it is powered by naturally aspirated 1.6L engine with a 0-100 kmph time of under 9 seconds.

This special edition has been launched by Suzuki's Deutsch subsidiary to coincide with the "Rock am Ring" (Rock at the 'Ring) music festival, held every year in summer.

Only 700 model of this new variant will be produced and would be priced at around $24,700 or Rs. 11.25 lakh.

11.25L for a Swift?? Hmm.... I don't see the point even minus the big wheels and the music system its still going to cost around 9.5L. Ideally a normal Swift with all the bells and whistles and a 1.6L engine for about 6.5L sounds good. But then again thats wishful thinking.

I would presume in India, this can be priced starting 6.5L owing to localization of parts, This seems to be much better at 8L rather than paying similarly for a Jazz
