Umm, the reventon was mentioned a few pages ago. Also spotted some other modern cars.

But to be honest, there is nothing compared to the charm and beauty of classic and vintage cars.

A lot of those elegant curving lines and style is just not seen in many modern car designs.

Oui Monsieur.
Lusso is being repeated with good reason.

Also - the majority appear to be Brit or Italian cars. Very few Germans and American cars.
Why am I not so surprised?

My short list has one modern car- the McLaren MP4-12C.

The GTs that are there are primarily from the 1960s - the Espada/Marzal, the Type E, the Ghibli and so on...

IMHO, the best periods for car design were
1. The late 1920s-early 1930s, just before the Depression did them in
2. The 1960s when you had the Jags, the Masers, the Alfas and the Lambos, not to mention the Ferraris and the Astons

There were quite a few lovely cars in the 50s and the early 70s, such as the Citroen SM, the BMW 3.0 CS ( before the 1973 Oil Crisis did them in again)

Regards

I second this completely.
I love some of the 20's and 30's cars - the jazz age!
but possibly the most timeless and elegant designs were in the late fifties and swinging sixties - the horrors and deprivation of the war years were fast fading - the rising incomes and "bounce-back" economic prosperity of the period and a certain "something" in the air all fused together.

There is no car more beautiful than the first car you drive/ own. Nevertheless, a Pagani Zonda & AM Vanquish- top the list in my heart.

Well, the Packard seems to be well represented here and so does Ford.

And for the Germans, so far Mercedes is doing the talking, mainly the modern ones with me weighing in with the 1935 SL 500K.

Its a very tough question to answer for me.

Any Ferrari is beautiful for me.
Or is the timeless 911 more beautiful or is the the Carrera
Maybe the I'll-bite-your-head-off Lambo
No wait its all about pure muscle and the big V8 and V12's Mustang (GT500 - 67), Camero, Charger
But, I always thought Skyline is beautiful so in the 350z and the Evo

This thread has so many beautiful car on it after going through 2 pages I couldn't handle it any more. I'm going to look at the rest of the thread tomorrow.

auti quattaro

i think for me it has to be audi quattaro.

although for this car the beauty lies beneath the hood.

still on the exterior, it has me hooked ever since i was a child due to the simple design.

the S2 was an even better than the original one.

Wasif, thanks for those lovely ones..I see a lot of these cars in the same backdrop of a lake/bay..Was it some classic car event?

Anyways, although not my best ever , most impressive car I've seen in the flesh..
A RR Phantom (not sure about the year) >That was two years back and I remember
standing for 5 minutes just to admire this one..Enjoy...
