My short list : timelessness 13

The final car in my list ( as of tonight)

The Maser 3500 GT Frua. An elegant GT with such clean lines, one wonders sometimes as to why all modern cars look the same. I considered the 5000GT ( more famously known as the Shah of Persia) but chose this because of its reflective beauty.

Enjoy.

P.S. : Some of the cars that I have missed out are the Merc W 109, the Porsche 911 ( a triumph of evolution over design), the Citroen SM ( the only European car to have won the Motor Trend Car of the Year award) and a few more.

However, as of tonight my Desert island choice is the Maser Ghibli. A close second would be the classic Marmon 16.

Goodnight

Prince from amongst Packards my all time favourite is a one off Packard built exclusively for the President of Packard Motor Car Co Ed Macaulay. The car is absolutely gorgeous and so so deeply stylish. Here it is

The Voisin, however, remains my favourite across all marques

McLarenRulez,

If you read the design philosophy of the MP4 -12 C, you will appreciate what Mclaren has come up with. And as I said it is not an attention grabbing car-on the surface. It grabs your attention by being a complete performance, safe and green car. I like its subtleties. The name is derived as follows - M for McLaren, P4 from Ron's Project 4. 12 is the index I think efficiency ( I am not so sure here) and C is for the use of carbon as an integral component of the design.

DKG,

Please do!

I know that Packards, Pierce Arrows and some of the Lanchesters and were very lovely. I don't have any sources for them.

Some Mercs and the BMW CS is required too.
