The Hansa Isabella coupe 2+2 by Borgward
Practically indestructible. This at the time, cost in the region of three VW beetles.
Four Cyls (1493cc to be exact) delivering 60 bhp in std form and 75 bhp @ 5,200 rpm in the TS version

ID 126...late 50s Borgward Isabella Coupe'...as i said earlier, mrs borgward didnt care for her new karmann ghia, so pestered the hubbie to build her something better...! u can definitely see the likeness...

coachbuilders franay had a long association with delahaye, bugatti, delage, and more frech cars of the 20s, 30s, and 40s...though what really made delahaye the legend it is today was its relationship with coachbuilders figoni et falaschi...some astoundingly flamboyant bodies were built, trademark to them.

well, i wanted to post a 50s toyopet, and a 40s delahaye 135 MS, but ive been beaten to it...so heres ID 128...

punekars may be familiar with the car, its a regular at the rally scene...

ID128: is a 1939 Opel Kapitän cabriolet.

It had a 2473 cc straight six-cyl. that put out 55 bhp @ 3600 rpm and 145 Newton-metres of torque at 1600 rpm. It had three-on-the-tree (3-speed gearbox with lever on the steering-column).
Importantly Opel did away with the chassis and had a unitary body construction.
The Kapitän could peak out at 126 km/h.

The post second-world-war export versions were called Opel Super-Six in Holland and France. These markets recovering from the Second-world war were allergic to the military-sounding "Kapitän" name.

Now comes the confusion: Its round headlamps! The pre-war models (1939) had squared-off hexagonal ones.

Your specimen shows round headlamps, but Opel had discontinued the pre-war two-door and convertible Kapitäns, after the war! So it can't be post-war (1947-1950).

So methinks, your pre-war cabriolet may have had the headlamps converted to
the post-war round, somewhere down the road. Do comment.

On closer inspection of the full size photo, i do see traces of the hexagonal fitting underneath the round headlights...the world makes sense again...!

ID:130 is a 1971/72 Datsun 510.
But it is heavily modified with non-standard grille, roll cage, flared wheel arches and non-standard wheels. Shall we avoid posting one-off project cars, drag racing shells,
and heavily modified cars that didn't even have a production run of 10 identical specimens?

The jap version is called ARISTO V 300 and its a 6 cyl version and heavily loaded. This model started in around 1998 and continued till 2002
