Hi Doge,

If you go through the thread, we have long ago stopped taking small cropped images of portions of cars, and asking people to guess the car from these cropped images.

We have graduated to showing a significant portion of the car in the image - either a full front or side or rear or 3/4th angle shot.

Also, per the rules of the thread, concept cars / kit cars / one offs are not allowed.

The cropped image that you have put up, if of a concept car - The 2003 Toyota FJ Cruiser Concept.

While this concept car made it into production, that distinctive door handle didn't.

Only a handful of samples were built. But yes, it was built and sold, so its not a concept.

This is the Italdesign Zerouno coupe. I checked this out at the 2017 Geneva International Motor Show and found it to be rather meh.

Indeed.

Some people say its just a re-skinned Huracan, and is totally undeserving of the 1.5 million pricetag. But then, exclusivity has a price.

Hi all, this is my first post on this forum and I want to start by asking help identifying this old car from a Malayalam movie “Summer in Bethlehem” released in 1998. It looks like the old Mahindra Armada but I have only seen 5 door versions of the Armada and this is a 3 door.
I used to think for a long time that it was old Mahindra jeep modified to look like Armada.

However recently when I was discussing this with a fellow car enthusiast, I came across the same car in different colour in another Malayalam movie “Commissioner” released in 1994 and both the cars have “Lensman” written on it.

So my question is what make and model car is it? Looks like a distinct model from Mahindra
Did Mahindra release a 3 door version of the Armada in the 1990s?
What is the significance of “Lensman” written on the car.

Attached pics of cars from both the films. The one in Red is from "Summer in Bethlehem" and the one in White is from "Commissioner"

Its the Mahindra Major. Its just heavily modified version. This was common practice in Malayalam movies in that period to use heavily modified cars to show how cool the hero/herione was.

Lensman was a textile brand(or something similar, I don't remeber exactly) which was hugely promoted by actor Jayram. He used it widely in his movies too. Nothing to do with the vehicle

Thanks for the reply . I always thought that it was a modified Mahendra Major but i got doubts after seeing similar vehicle used in "Commissioner" 1994 film as well. The one in Commissioner actually looks good compared to the one in Summer in Bethlehem.
I actually think there are some cool cars used by heros in some of the old Malayalam movies.
Thanks for the titbit on Lensman as well.
