Now identify ID:973 please?!
This lovely number is a pretty Panhard 24 (CT), produced from 1964 to 1967. A stylish cousin of the PL17?

Note the quirky wheels - what you see are the finned drums, and a rim is bolted on. Something like our Piaggio Ape commercial vehicles.

ID:975, 1966–1973 Subaru Sambar micro van

ID:975 is a 2nd gen. early version (1966–1973) Subaru Sambar “kei class microvan”. Japan’s first Keitora (軽トラ) available as both microvan and micro pickup truck. It has a small air-cooled engine at the rear which drives the rear wheels.

The red micro van in the digital image is missing the chrome Subaru logo and "Sambar" script badges.

The current version is also produced in Japan, China, Korea, and as a JV with Elcat Automotive in Finland.

ID:976; 1962 Ashley Sportiva

ID:976 is a 1962 Ashley Sportiva.

They were powered by Ford engines and made as both coupes and as convertibles.
Like Khira, India and Jai, India, Ashley made carrosseries and chasses for special vehicles from 1955 to 1962. The company also made the louvred bonnet for the Jaguar E-type.

The Ashley workshop was next door to the Robin Hood Inn, Epping New Rd., Loughton, Essex IG10 4AA, UK. They serve Thai food with alcohol.

The workshop has since been dismantled and is now the car park of the Robin Hood Inn.

Look at the wheels and tires. It is truck-based not car-based. It is a General Motors made station wagon. And not a Chevrolet,
So I guess it is a GMC Suburban Carryall, from the mid 1930s. I would say 1937.

ID:976 1937 GMC Suburban Carryall.

Here’s another but wearing modern chromed alloys.

ID:977 1953 Volkswagen Dannenhauer and Stauss cabriolet

I spent Sat. 13-Oct-2001 at Neuwirtshaus (Porscheplatz) at the Porsche factory.

This maroon car is a
1953 Volkswagen Dannenhauer and Stauss cabriolet bearing Swiss license plates SG 29809. It was also made in Stuttgart, but by Dannenhauer and his son Kurt Stauss on the Beetle floorpan and chassis. The doors are rear-hinged “suicide” doors, with concealed hinges.

The bodywork was designed by Wagner and Oswald, both of whom had studied in Stuttgart under Dr Professor Dr Kamm (the wind-tunnel and aerodynamics expert famous for the Kammback).

The headlights of the cabriolet were Volkswagen Beetle headlights. However, the chrome-plated combination numberplate light and brake light, was a genuine Porsche component. Having a VW Beetle engine, the car’s streamlining gave it a slight edge over the Beetle. But of course, the car was no performer.

Dannenhauer and Stauss actually built one single last coupe, in 1954 with genuine Porsche engine and brakes. This was the only D&S to have Porsche-like performance.

Dannenhauer & Stauss GmbH still exists today, but as an automotive repair garage.

Spot on Ram.

In 2005 I attended the show at Hessisch Oldendorf, where a record number of them had gathered, even a couple that were halfway through the restoration.

The coupe does survive in a good state of preservation

Incidentally notice the deep blue car in the pictures? It belongs to Volkswagen, and was on display in their Stiftung museum and was participating in the show. On the way home it had a bad accident with a Ford van, badly damaging the car. I wonder if it has been restored now.

ID979 - Anyone know what this is? Spotted in Delhi. Is it a DC creation with a Merc badge slapped on the front?
